I went in for a regularly scheduled pap and explained to the provider that I was pregnant. She asked if I had any concerns, and I said I was worried about ectopic since I'd been having some burning pains and spotting since the day I got my BFP. So she sent me for a sonogram!
I didn't get anything major--they didn't count the heartbeat or give me a picture or anything since it was technically a "gyn" sonogram. But they did confirm a the baby has a heartbeat and it's not ectopic, which is great. She also sent me for quantitative HCG bloodwork, but no result from that yet.
