We all know newborns don't need a lot but what do you feel makes the newborn stage more helpful?

So early ! Ah... Rock n play sleeper.. And a wrap .. I prefer a woven because they will last through toddler hood... But a moby is a good comfortable place to start.

I agree with all of the above but I would add a boppy!! I loved mine and even though I didn't BF my daughter long, I still used it to bottle feed her.

DISPOSABLE breast pads if you plan to BF. All I had were a few washable ones and I was one wet mess until I fixed that! And a comfy night-time bra to put the pads in.

Breastmilk, t-shirts, blankets, diapers & a sling/wrap. I basically used nothing else for the first month.

Well.. A carseat as well.

If you get washable breaspads with PUL backing you won't leak everywhere...

besides the obvious necessities, the fisher price papasan cradle swing was the best thing for DS. it broke, so we'll be getting a new one. and this time i'm investing in a medela freestyle to start pumping early to increase my supply. pumping for a year at work was a struggle (but i did it), so this time i want to give my supply a boost from the get-go.

I like unstructured buckle carriers, so I use a Bjorn for newborn stage and then an Ergo-style one for when the baby is older. I sometimes use a sling, too.

Swaddlers are an absolute necessity around here, as is this swing we have that swings the baby in its car seat.

I love the Boppy, too. I had a hard time breastfeeding my first kid. Don't think I could've made it through without the Boppy.

My Mum discovered this little contraption in the shop yesterday (and took a photo, sent me a text with the photo, then called me to discuss it, haha) that sterilises 6 bottles in 2 minutes. Apparently I must have this and I will die if I do not have this because, "I really can't picture you sterilising bottles in a stockpot"

Nice one Mum, nice (but true I guess)

Gripe water, Ergo, moby wrap, swing or rock n play and lots of burp rags (at least for my kiddos). My oldest HAD to be swaddled (wouldn't sleep if he wasn't) but was an escape artist too do definitely a woombie!

We loved "Lap-pads", and yes the reusable breastpads with PUL backing are a must!! This time we'll need a steel cage to protect baby from my son .
