I saw this cute idea on pinterest with a shirt that had the numbers 1-40 and you cross them off as you go through your pregnancy and take a pic each week. So I found a shirt online that had that design and I ordered it. I'm usually between a M - L so I ordered Large. It came right before Thanksgiving so I quickly hid it since we weren't telling yet. I just pulled it out now to try on and not only does it smell terrible (it's in the washer now!) but I tried it on and there is no room for belly growing! It's super long but doesn't seem stretchy enough to accommodate a big belly. It's basically form fitting now. Looking back at the page I ordered from, it does say slim fit and to order up a size... but seriously! It's supposed to be a maternity shirt!

I saw the idea on Pinterest too and it's super cute! What a bummer though, they should've made it ruched.

I would just make sure you wash it in cold and then hang dry it. Sometimes you can stretch it out a bit when it's wet to give you a little extra space or just put a long tank underneath it for layers as you get bigger. But yeah, maternity shirt!

Oh! Don't even get me started!!

I am a size "medium" in most women's departments. I went to Ross the other day and grabbed a few large shirts from their maternity section. They were SO tight and did not fit me at all, let alone any room for the baby to grow! Frustrated I grabbed XL's and the same thing. They fit a little better but no room at all for baby to grow.

What the heck? Yet If I go to the regular non-maternity section & grab a medium, they still fit fine. Wacky sizing????

What a cute idea!! I've never heard of that before...but I love it! That stinks that the sizes are that off though. If the point of the shirt is to grow with you, you would think there would be room to grow!!

I forgot about this... hung the shirt to dry yesterday and totally forgot!

Here it is... no baby bump, just my usual fatness (but I am wearing maternity leggings since they're more comfy). DH thinks the shirt will stretch... we'll see.
