Note to my pregnant self - do not eat white chicken chili. It was yummy, but TMI ... the gas! I'm one of those women who just isn't gassy, but those white beans did a number on me!

What foods have you had to avoid due to heartburn or gas?

I've given up trying to figure it out. I take Beano with things that never used give me trouble. I would take the plain flatulence over the discomfort and pressure in my abdomen when it blows up like a hot air balloon. I need to buy stock in Beano and simethicone. I'm buying enough!

Coffee, bananas and the really rich chocolates my boss brought into work yesterday all give me terrible heartburn.

anything tomato based seems to do it, but mainly cooked stuff. Raw tomatoes don't really bother me. I made this really good taco soup in the crock pot, it seems to be, ummm, keeping me regular

I had some pico de gallo the other night and I thought my chest was gonna explode and I was gonna burp fire. It was awful.

veggies. I love raw veggies with dip but can't eat them much because of the gas. I can't eat anything too close to bed and even when I don't eat close to bed I have a huge glass of milk right before I lay down to help with heartburn. I always have bad heartburn at the end of pregnancy and I am REALLY not looking forward to that.

I haven't had any problems yet, thank goodness. I have even been eating spicy food without issue. Every morning, I've been drinking hot water with fresh squeezed lemon and a few shakes of cayenne pepper instead of coffee. If cayenne pepper doesn't bother me, I'm not sure anything will. lol

Cheese. I cannot even think about shredded cheese, more or less eat it. It's a mental thing. But I have found that I can't eat much of anything close to laying down or the heartburn comes.

It's not so much foods for me, but drinks. Strawberry kiwi juice, grape juice, anything too acidy really.
