has anyone started this process yet? i have united healthcare through my employer, and i have a choice of 3 medical supply companies. the rep said that there are no restrictions on brand (which is awesome b/c i want a medela). downside is that i can't place the order until after birth! i still have my old PIS and i'm sure if we end up extended stay in the hospital like with DS, i'll just use a hospital pump in the interim. i think i'll assign the task of ordering to my mom. who, 1 day after birth, will remember to call and order a pump?!?!

Mine's already come in the mail. Although, I admit that it's still sitting in the box that it came in. I haven't gotten around to opening up all the pieces to see if they are there (yes, I know I'm bad).

Mine won't cover one since we have military (tricare) insurance and they weren't affected by any of the new insurance changes I'm hoping the one I have from DS1 still works, if not I'll have to get a new one or practice hand expressing again.

I have Cigna and called a few weeks ago. I can get the Medela Freestyle, PIS, or Harmony. There was one more on the list I can't think of. I can order my pump a month before my due date or up to a year after baby is born.

Thanks for the reminder! I need to check into this. I wouldn't mind ordering after birth, since I wont be using one right away anyhow, but the whole "remembering to do it" then would get me. Heck, what am I saying...I won't remember to do it now! LOL!
