I really cherish the idea of geting a rocking chair to use with this baby. My mom got one when she had me, and I would sit in her lap in it up until high school, whenver I was sick. Very special memories. So a chair is the most important thing for me to get to have with baby, so I want a really nice one. It might have to wait until I can afford it once the other essentials are out of the way, but I picked out a really nice lazy-boy rocking recliner
We were going to do a glider but decided to do a big chair with a foot stool..We found a really nice leather chair that's very comfortable & has a big foot stool at a president day sale for $200. I'm glad we went this route because it goes great in our living room & is perfect for long nursing sessions.

When DH's grandmother passed away we were given her glider. She sat in it all the time and whenever I look it at it makes me think of her. However the padding/cushion is a ugly blue, green grayish color so a friend of mine is helping me pick out a girly fabric and is going to make covers for the cushions. I painting her room a gray color and then adding pops of pink throughout it's going to be kind of plain but I want the fabric for the chair to really stand out and for the chair to become a focal point of the room.
