We went to a large consignment sale tonight. I scored 9 Kawaii cloth diaper covers for $5 and some prefolds for $1 each! Also found some other good deals like a $3 Fisher Price baby monitor set and a dozen or so adorable clothes. Super excited.
That's awesome, I wish i knew how to find that stuff. I only know of one consignment shop in town, and w/o knowing gender i cant go in there or else I'll be sad I cant buy stuff.
This isn't actually a shop. Twice a year, in the spring and fall, a church groups stages a huge sale where anyone can sign up to bring in children's items. They've expanded it all the way through juniors sized clothes (I think I even saw a few pagent/prom dresses last night, so say for kids through high school) and added maternity clothes as well. It's actually gotten so big lately that they've had to limit the number of consigners because they've run out of space. They are now taking backup consigners. That stuff will be put out on the second night of a four-day sale. Consigners get 80-90% of the ticket price and the rest goes towards various charitible organizations. I believe this year is a battered women's shelter. I plan on trying to sign up to resell what I can when it comes around again. There are two more sales that I may check out in the coming weeks too. One nearby and another in Chattanooga.
