I took seven days of amoxicillin for my ear infection but it didn't kick the infection. Went back to the doctor today for the ear and for the coughing I've had for a couple weeks now and got a prescription for Z-pk #6 (stronger antibiotics). I didn't really worry about the amoxi. I'm a little more concerned with the new prescription. Anyone know anything about antibiotics and unborn babies? The doctor checked her little book, it's a class B drug.

Here is some information on azithromycin, it is safe for pregnancy
Azithromycin (Zithromax) - eMedExpert.com

Pregnancy class B means that there is no adverse effect to the fetus in any trimester.

Last month I took a z-pack for a horrible sinus infection. It is safe per my OB/GYN and the baby is still healthy

I just finished an antiobiotic for a UTI. For extra assurance, you could call your pharmacist.

I have took z pack while pregnant once.

Many ear infections are viral and won't respond to antibiotics, garlic oil helps them!
