We all know our ribs move out a little to make way for our swelling bellies.

Well my left rib has moved out.. you can feel it nearly flush with my belly.. my right rib has not moved out., you can feel it still in its normal position and digging in my belly..

I mentioned it to the hospital while I was in there and they told me to stretch 4 times a day... I have to.

Get on my knees, spread my legs and lean right back and put my hands on the floor behind me and stay like that as long as possible.

Anyone else got the "pinching ribs" thats what they called it.

I didn't know either. Makes sense though. Amazing what our bodies can do.

I seriously think that might be my problem. When I sit down, it's harder to breathe and my ribs feel like they're digging into my belly. It's really uncomfortable. Good to know! What kind of stretching did they tell you to do?

Right the stretching is.

Go on the floor and sit on your legs... so your on your knees...

Spread your legs as wide as you can and lean right back and arch your back...

Lay your hands flat on the floor palms down and stay there.. and make sure you can feel your ribs not digging in.. this is a stretch that can help the ribs.

I got to the part about sitting on your knees and shuddered. I have cartilage that is breaking off in both my knees and floats around my knees and gets stuck in my joints which locks my knees up... soooo painful. It has happened a lot more during this pregnanct which I can only think must be due to this massive weight gain which must put pressure on my knees... yeah so long story short I about threw up when I read sit on your knees.... *shiver*
