Yup, I have pink eye. It started in one eye on Sunday morning and on Monday morning it was in the other eye as well. I went to the doc yesterday and was given the only safe antibiotic eye drop, but he said it could take 7 days to clear up. It seems like I keep getting sick during this pregnancy.

Uug..I know during pregnancy is when I usually get colds and coughs. No fun the pink eye thing though. Hope it clears sooner rather than later.

I hope it starts to clear up quickly. Being pregnant is enough, no need for additional misery.

I just got over a horrible cold and pink eye. The dr gave me eye drops that were class C...I was not happy about that but I needed them badly. He told me to put pressure on my tear ducts when I put them in and hold it a couple mins after and it lessens the amount of drug that gets into my bloodstream. Hopefully yours clears up quickly!

The eye drops I got were class B which he said are proven safe. They are Tobramycin drops. He originally thought it only came in an ointment for the eye but once he checked his pregnancy book (this was my general doc) he saw they had drops and I was thrilled..

Do you have the polysporin drops there!?!?! I've had to give them to the kids and it's cleared up in a day or two each time....works crazy fast! I have no clue if they are pregnancy safe though?

Yuck, that really sucks! I hope you recover quickly! Pink eye sucks...it must suck a ton when you're pregnant!

I've read that a safe alternative is breast milk, raw cow or goats milk, or a bit of the water that forms on top of real yogurt. Supposedly the probiotics and good bacteria kill off the bad. I don't like taking antibiotics so I may try one of those if I get pink eye again.

I knew about the breastmilk and that is the first thing my hubby said, too bad you don't have anymore breastmilk stashed. LOL.
