OK this is my second pregnancy. The first one was a dream but boy I'm tired with this second one!

I started getting Braxton Hicks contractions a week or so ago. My doctor said it was normal. Scared me a little though as I never had it the first time round. I've been getting them a few times a day now, even when I'm sitting down resting.

I'm slightly scared it means the baby is going to make his arrival before he's fully baked

Is anyone else getting them?

Yep been getting them a lot more frequently now. Had them pretty bad when I was out walking around the mall with DH and DD. Thankfully they stopped when we got home and I rested.

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I've been having them since 15 weeks and regular contractions since 23 weeks. It's normal to have them earlier with each pregnancy. Make sure you stay well hydrated and keep your bladder as empty as possible since both are triggers for Braxton hicks.

Yes, Sunday I planted all my flowers and had tons of BH contractions. I really never had them with DD and they kind of scared me. I called the on-call Dr. and he said it was normal. It is really king of scary though if you've never had them before.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy!

Yup, been having them since sometime early in the second trimester. It isn't an indication of baby coming early

I didn't get any BH's with my son but I started getting them at 16 weeks this time! I'm actually having one right now, lol. I just try to sit down and drink water when I get them.

Ive been having them too. Mine are interrupting my day. I don't have time to sit out and wait for them to stop. I dislike the unexpected. On top of that the baby must be annoyed because he kicks or moves triggering some more awkward discomfort.

Yep, I've been having them for a while now. I figure if my uterus is "practicing" that's fantastic - go to it! Too bad my body's not doing automatic kegels.

I'm not really sure. I never had any "pains" with my first two and this time I have cramps something but they don't come and go, it is like a period cramp that comes and stays for hours. I'm not sure if the BH or not, but I am tired of it!! I don't get it that often though. Maybe once a week.

Honestly, I'm not sure. My whole abdomen will tighten up when I start walking quickly, but it's not like it happens randomly. So not sure...

I get them quite frequently... I read somewhere that you actually start having them in the 3rd month, but you typically don't start feeling them until the fifth month. Even the baby moving can trigger it. I also read that if you are getting them while sitting get up and walk a bit and vice versa.

if i am i am not aware of them, curious to see if I am having any contractions when i have mt NST next week.

i kind of wish I was getting something, the idea that my body is not practicing makes me feel like I'll be pregnant forever. they dont like inducing for a vaginal delivery with twins so if I dont go into labor on my own I have to get a C-section.
