I had my 35 week appointment today.

Very happy my blood pressure has been wonderful this whole pregnancy.. it was 120/60 today which is about what it is at every appointment. Thankful because with my daughter my B/P was so high I had to go on bed rest at 34 weeks.

Baby's heart beat was 154.. nice and strong which made me happy to hear.

My gestational diabetes numbers have been great. As long as I don't pig out and have a 3 course meal at a restaurant with dessert, my numbers are always within range and have been going lower since 32 weeks! So it doesn't look like I will need meds at all at this point. Fastings are always in the 70s/80s now!

And now.. because of the GD.. I will start twice weekly ultrasounds/BPPs! I will go every Monday/Thursday up until delivery.
My doctor said she can deliver me at 39 weeks but will strip my membranes at close to 38 weeks to help me go into labor on my own. I would prefer to go into labor on my own but with GD there is an increased risk of still birth.. so I am not sure how much past 39 weeks she will let me go.

Funny.. the entire pregnancy I've been pretty adamant about what I want as far as an ideal birth... but the closer I get, all I want is a healthy baby and I don't care how!

sounds like you and baby are doing great! i am right there with you about the BP. i convinced myself that i would have the same issues i had with DS, but this pregnancy has been so different, and my BP has been good.

So glad things are going great for you! My BP also has been better this pregnancy, and like one of the other ladies said getting your membranes stripped isn't so bad.

Sounds great! Funny how our ideals change once we're there, eh? it's the same once you are officially a parent and find yourself doing things you didn't think you'd do - and really being 100% okay with it!
