So, last night while at a friends house, I lost my plug... Im not too worried bc I read that just bc I lost my plug doesn't mean labor is beginning. there was no bloody show or anything, but I have definitely been having more low back and hip pain since, no contractions thankfully... I don't want to have him at 36 weeks! im getting so anxious though.... I just want to meet my sweet little boy and hold him... this is taking forever!
what should I expect from here on out since I have lost my plug?

was it the whole thing? from what i've read, it can regenerate. or it can mean labor will start in a couple days. i lost a couple pieces of mine on sat and had cx every 10-15 min all day (had to breath through them). but nothing since! when i went to my 37 week appt on tues, i was still only 1cm dilated, so for me it meant nothing!

it was a large bit... idk how much to expect to see when I lose the whole thing... I lost a piece last week and it was bloody but that was after a night of contractions. im still losing pieces when I go to the bathroom, but theyre tiny.. I have to look real close at the TP to see the pieces, but last night was quite a bit.

from the pictures I just looked up, it looks like I lost it all and the little bits I am seeing now are just tiny remaining bits... can it regenerate after you lose the entire plug?

It can regenerate and it may mean you could have baby soon or not for weeks. I've lost decent sized pieces of mine over the last month or so and nothing else has happened. When I was pregnant with DD I lost mine about 5 days before I went into labor. Sorry, I guess you just have to wait and see now.

It's usually about the size of a golf ball from what I've been told and read and how DS2's was. It can regenerate. You could go into labor anytime or it could be weeks still like the other ladies said. I have been losing clumps of mine for weeks now.

At a friends house huh.:: at least it wasn't your water that broke at a friends house ., and yeh.. From here on out you can expect nothing other than questioning and second guessing every single twinge and strange feeling you have like "is this labor?!" And most likely it won't be

All I've heard goes along with what the ladies already said. I hope little one hangs in there a little longer for you!

It can regenerate, not sure if you lose the whole thing though. I don't remember losing mine with DD. Or I didn't see it.
