We had to stop at the pharmacy on the way home from the hospital, the went to a restaurant at one week. In the last months he's been out to eat about 5 times, grocery shopping, to the mall, to visit friends, to my mothers for a weekend, to DHs parents for a weekend, and now we're back at my mothers for a couple of days.
We made the decision before he was born that our lives weren't going to stop because we had a baby, and they haven't. Granted, it's been easy because we have to supplement (I have very low supply) and because he's SUCH an easy baby. He only cries when he's wet or hungry, and falls asleep as soon as he's in his carseat. I know this will change soon, so we are trying to do what we can now!
Emmie's been out and about since we left the hospital. We stopped at a deli to eat after we were discharged from the hospital. She's been to several parks, the beach, a few restaurants, target, the grocery store, the coffee shop, the zoo and a few friends' houses. She does well as long as I can whip out the boob at a moments notice. She doesn't really like her carseat but she falls asleep fairly quickly in the car. I wear her in the Ergo when we're out and she really likes it.
He's just a week old today and has only been to the dr office, since I haven't had reason to go anywhere and shouldn't be driving yet. Tomorrow we're thinking of going to a couple stores and will take him.
DH and I took him into town last weekend. It was our wedding anniversary, so we went out to lunch. My parents were watching DS1 overnight, so it was easy only taking the baby out! Otherwise, 2 weeks in and we are homebodies. He nurses all.day.long, so it's easier to be home.
We've been out a few times Doctors appointments , grocery shopping and walmart but that's about it. Next weekend though we'll be taking her to visit my grandparents which is about an hour drive and that will be her first trip out to visit someone, though she'll be 4 weeks by then.
