I'm in Toronto and over here, the weather is already starting to plunge to about 10C on some days (that's 50F for you U.S. ladies). In a few weeks, the temperatures are going to be below freezing, everything will be covered in snow. I don't have a car so I don't have the luxury of strapping him into a carseat and putting him into a heated car. Leaving the house with Marcos is going to involve a whole lot of dressing/undressing and putting on snowsuits, hats, mittens, bundling with heavy blankets, etc..., and pushing the stroller through slush and snow. Or alternatively, strapping him into the carrier and praying to god that I don't slip on a patch of ice. I have a feeling that pretty soon, I am going to be rather trapped in my apartment for the next few months.
Any other mamas from the North dreading this upcoming winter?
I am also dreading the winter. I'm from Newfoundland and last year we got hit with our first snow which happened to be a huge storm in November. Now I do have a car that I can travel in with Adelyn but if anyone knows Newfoundland it's that the weather here is terrible and unpredictable most days. Our winters are especially harsh at times. This means I am also going to be trapped inside the house for the last few months more than likely so I feel your pain. :/
Oh wow that would be quite the task!! but seriously cute to see!!
When we lived in the UK, we decided to take the bus in the snow and that was not so easy with at that time 3 small children.
As far as staying in the home for longer periods of time, I tend to do that anyways and I have the socials come to me rather than we all pick and go. It can work in your favor sometimes, but I totally get the 4 walls things!!
