Adelyn absolutely hates any of the meats even if it's mixed with veggies. The only way we can get her to eat them is if it has sweet potatoes in it. She really loves her sweet things. Like tonight, I tried to feed her beef with vegetables and she power puked up her milk she had about an hour before, gagging and crying. It's not because I'm feeding her too fast but the taste turns her stomach.
So it's left me with feeding her only turkey with sweet potatoes and chicken with sweet potatoes. I think I am going to try making my own baby food with meats and see if she'll eat that.
Some of those packaged ones taste really weird though. We have these first time mums group sessions run by a nurse here, and the nurse that ran the one I was in made us eat a whole variety of them. The fruit ones were okay but some of the 'meal' type ones didn't taste anything like what they were supposed to.
It must have looked like the funniest thing though, this group of women sitting on the floor in a circle eating jars of baby food.
I take back what I said earlier, we have found something.
Last night I made home made burgers, so I made Audrey her own little burger, meat patty with a bit of melted cheese on top, grated carrot, avocado and a bit of very finely chopped lettuce.
She managed to spit every tiny little bit of lettuce out but ate everything else.
