For awhile for sure...I think the recommendation is 2 years at a minimum now? We did it sooner for our oldest, but will be attempting to do it longer with this one.

Minimum 2 years, Juliet rf until 2 years 2 months, could have longer but I had a tiny car and it was easier to turn her for the long trip when we moved. Zachary should be able to make it to 3 easily.

The Australian standard seats don't handle rear facing for as long, so when she no longer fits.

We don't have a car but we have his infant carseat that clicks onto his stroller which is good until he reaches 30 inches. After that we will get another carseat but we'll have to install it in the taxi and/or family member's car every time we go somewhere. We'll probably only use it a few times a year.

Yah I will rear face as long as possible also. We have installed a big mirror so she can also see the wide screen playing videos on longer car rides so should be no issue. But we will need to buy a different carseat at 30inches 30lbs
