I have tried to give her apple juice and she does not want it at all! Even with diluting it or not...I gave her some grape juice and she took a couple of drinks of that but not much.

I am not a fan of juice. When I do buy it, it has to be pure juice and no sugar and NOT the 'juice drink' . I dont think juice is to important to drink anyways so Im not bothered by it.

My personal thing is until you are drinking from a regular glass, it's milk and water.

I give him a little bit of diluted apple juice (unsweetened) every once in a while in a little sippy cup. Or sometimes if I boil some fruit for him to soften them up, I'll give him a bit of the leftover water from the pot. He likes it but he doesn't drink all that much of it, no more than 1oz. I always make sure I give it to him in the afternoon and never in the evening because having it before going to bed is very bad for their teeth.

We've kind of had the same "rule of thumb" at our house. When we finally gave DS #1 juice it was like 90% water. Just a personal preference!
