Hi ladies. Sorry I haven't been around much. I started going back to school, so between working full time and going to school 3 nights a week, I don't have much time for JM, much less scrapbooking! LOL.

Anyway, I made a pact with myself that I am going to start scrapbooking at least 1 hour on Saturday and Sunday IF I spend 3 hours studying. Yeseterday it really worked. But, I did have some extra motivation. My coworker let me borrow her cricut! I am in LOVE! I was cutting out everything I could! I SOOOOOO want one. And hubby decided since I loved it so much he would buy me one.

So, I am debating between the cricut expressions and the cricut. I know the expressions can cut 12x12 or 12x24 paper. It is also twice as expensive. I am okay with spending the money on it, but honestly, am I ever going to need one that cuts that big? Is there anything else the expressions does that is better than the regular cricut?

I feel my judement is clouded! LOL. DH said if I want the expressions I have to wait until December, and if I want the regular one, I can get it now. I want it now but I don't want to regret not waiting and getting the expressions. What should I do?

I have used both. My mom has the regular, and I now have the expression. I feel like you have many more options with the expression. I love being able to cut out larger objects, big circles, edges, etc.
If I was going to spend the money on it, I would just bit the bullet and get the big one, but thats just me. I'm also impatient and I wouldn't want to wait till December either, lol.

You know they have come out with the Cricut Create. It's like the best of both machines. Might be something to look into.

I really love my E and the portability of the smaller one!!

I am so glad! As far as I know, the only downer for the Expression is that the mats are a lot more expensive because they are bigger! Have fun! Let us know what you get!

Yea!!!! I got my Cricut Expressions! I am so stinking excited! DH and I went out to dinner last night and he surprised me by stopping at the store and letting me pick one out! I can't wait to start using it!

As far as the mats go, 2 12x12 mats costed me $10.50, so thats not too bad!

Thanks for all the opinions ladies!

Welcome to the Cricut addiction club

I have found that I can use a Joann's coupon for the matts, the coupons usually say you can't use it for the machines or cartridges
