I was out with my girlfriends yesterday and were discussing getting together to do some page. Make it a party maybe? It's been years since we've done our scrapbooks...some of us need to catch on on baby albums now that our oldest kids are 7 and 8 and the youngest don't even have a book started!
Anyhow...has anyone hosted a party for scrapping? I know there are companies that do this but we were just thinking of doing it ourselves. We all have a TON of supplies that we've collected over the past 6 or 7 years that we hope to use and share. And now with my Cricut machine... It could be alot of fun.
So...any idea's? If I host do you think I should have a few extra items on hand? And if so...what should they be? Other than some wine and cheese of course!
I used to get together with a group of ladies once a month at our local community center or library. Everyone would bring snacks to share and bring whatever projects/pages they were working on. We had a table set up for larger tools for everyone to use and we would just chit chat and work on our pages.
I think I may have to move to NJ!! I'm in a SU splurge group once a month. However, we don't supply anything. Although, now I want to start a scrap club! I'd tell everyone to bring things they are willing to share! It would suck (IMO) to put out your favorite ribbon or paper & everyone uses it but you. I love this idea, let us know if you guys have a successful night!!
We are having a GNoC on the 3rd Friday of the month. GNoC stands for Girl's Night of Crafting.
Most likely, it'll be at my house since I have the space in the basement for us. Our first one is Jan. 16th and I told my girlfriends to bring any items they are willing to share as well as the supplies they'd like to use for themselves. I have a TON of things I didn't realize I had until cleaning out boxes this week so I have enough for those who have never scrapped at all before. Granted, they are older things but none of it goes bad, right?
I'm providing use of my Cricut - although it only has the George and Basic Shapes Cartirdge at the moment - since I'm the first in the group to have one. And also use of my computer and photo printer if needed. It's just my close friends so I'm OK with it. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks I'll be the owner of another cartridge or two.
