I had lost a part to my paper cutter when we moved, and I went to Michaels to see if they had the replacement part. An older lady and a woman who looked like her daughter came up to me and said "Do you scrapbook very much?" I said yes, a lot! The woman explained she was making a scrapbook for her son and daughter in law who just got married, and could I help her shop for her supplies. I got to go through the scrapbook aisle with her and tell her all about the different products and make recommendations. I didn't realize until I was looking through a newbie's eyes like that how daunting it all can be for someone who's never done it before. When I got into scrapbooking, there weren't all of these gadgets and tools, and I just learned as they came out. It was fun and refreshing to go back to the basics.
Just thought I'd share

Thank You, Pattyandthemoos, for my beautiful siggy!
That must have been cool to show them things and help them get the right tools. I think it is very hard as a beginner. I have a girlfriend I helped over the summer to get a scrapbook done for her 2 year old son. It was fun to teach her but I could also tell it was overwhelming to her. In the world of scrapbooking there are just so many neat things to use!!!
