So this was the first page I did that wasn't of my wedding, and of the fairy tale themed paper my niece bought me....
I don't really like it I don't really care for the color choice of the pages or the letters. I don't think the letters are thick enough, I don't like the positioning of the bottom picture, and I don't know if I should have put the hearts there lol
BUT it was a first attempt! My cricut just came Thursday and I'm sure I'll do about 20 pages this weekend
ETA sorry it's a little blurry. And what it is.....this was the first year we did Thanksgiving. That was one table's setup, and the "placecards" my niece made so we would all know where to sit
I like the colors and layout of pics. I agree with you on the letters- they either need to me thicker or a darker color so they pop off the page more. KWIM?[/b]
Exactly. Those were my first cricut letters, I didn't realize how think they were. I find I use "shadow" for quite a few of the letters. I 'll either make them thicker and change to a still light shade, or I'll make them maroon.
It's not bad. I do agree about the letters though.
I think the place cards your niece made are cute.
BTW- Which Cricut did you end up getting?[/b]
Thanks. My niece is 6. We had fun, although I used heavy cardstock, and I had to cut 5 or 6 hands per turkey for like 20 people. My hands were killing! Plus she got bored after a while. Note to self....we should have only made them for the kids lol
I got the basic cricut....I don't doubt I'll upgrade to the expression at some point, but I didn't want to shell out that amount of money knowing myself and that I might become bored with this after a while lol But it's why I didn't get the Slice....at least I can accumulate all the cricut cartridges now.
