I just put them in places look empty. I don't like a lot of empty space. Sometimes I use them to put tags on. I don't think I've ever used them on flowers. I'll have to go back and look at some layouts to see how they were used.

Brads are great for attaching tags and ribbons. If you have a bunch, you can make a line to divide a page if needed. Anywhere you'd use a button to embellish, you can pretty much use a brad, too.

you can also use them as a frame or photo corner, or draw a swirl in pencil then make it out of brads and erase the line, they look really good as a circle frame around (or within) photo tht has something you really want to draw attention to

If it's not paper or a sticker...I really don't use it much....so buttons are kind of foreign to me as well. hehehe Only since I got my Xyron did I use ribbon!

I'm so glad to have you ladies to learn from!

With that being said...I did play around yesterday and I'll try and post a pic of the page I did later today.

I love brads and eyelets. I use them about the same. Usually to attach embellishments but sometimes just to fill space.

I should use them more though. I LOVE using them, but they're usually too much effort (as opposed to, you know, glue)
