So, I do love to scrap, but I have a very limited budget, and limited supplies.

My nana just gave me a whole bunch of stuff she bought when she had big dreams of making cards, but never actually did.

so I have tons of paper now. And a lot of it is Velum. What are some things I can do with it? I just can't come up with anything...

I'm Michelle one of the co-host here

You ca do alot with just paper. You can do basic matting, putting paper under a photo. Even shapes if you don't have a cutting system. Dishes, glasses and storage containers are good for those.

Take a look in the Scrapbook gallery for lots of ideas.

Don't forget to post pics of what you get done! We love looking at each others work

Welcome!! So glad to have you join us! That's great that you have a bunch of paper! I really like layering multiple papers on the same page or cutting/ripping a couple papers into strips and using them to stripe a paper! For vellum, I usually use it for journaling. You can write on it with gelly pens, or put it in your printer and print the journaling right on it. Then you can lay the vellum on top of another colored piece of paper! Can't wait to see some of your work!

Here's a page that uses 5 different papers!

Here's some pages I used vellum on:

I love the journaling on the velum idea.

I am no where near as talented as you ladies, and when I get a spare moment to scrap book, I usually have to work quickly, and even though I always say I will print my jounaling, I always end up just scribbling some stuff on the page!

I will have to take some pics of my books

Hi, I'm Tamara, I mostly use vellum for journaling to, just like Valeri showed you, just if you print it on the computer use the best setting for ink and be careful when you take it out some vellums take a bit longer for the ink to dry, oh and don't use glue to put down Vellum it will show through. i've used ribbon and brads or you can get a vellum adhesive

You can stamp images or saying on vellum as well. I love the look of vellum it just adds a lot of pizazz and elegance to a page.

Tear the edge of vellum adds some texture too, then you can also touch around the edges for some brown ink to give it an aged look.
