I'm adopted by my paternal grandmother. She adopted me and my brother (11 months younger than I am) when I was two. By then I was already walking and talking like most kids, but since my father was in the Air Force and my bio mother is a dead beat I have no account of when I hit any of my milestones... don't even know what my first word was.
I want the girls to be able to look back as adults and know anything they want. I don't plan on giving them up, but I don't want to forget or them lose the info anyother way.
Especially Carrie. Its a way to highlight her condition without one day handing her a stack of medical records
