Hey ladies - I just wanted to run something by everyone and get your input. Jen and I had been talking about how we schedule the crops and thought there might be some benefit to scheduling them at the same time each month rather than voting - for example instead of voting each month, they would be held the 2nd friday of each month. If that fell on a holiday then we could move it to the week before or after. The plus to this obviously being that everyone would know each month when the crop was and it would keep them evenly spaced. Con is we could end up with a month where very few people are able to participate (but we voted this time and everyone had a lot going on anyway).

So - I'm leaving it up to you! Keep voting on the time or do you want to move to a set schedule?

I voted for a set schedule. It seems that there is just so much going on in peoples lives right now that scrapbooking has taken the backside (me included)

I just think it would be easier if we make it the same weekend each month. You will always know when it will be and won't have to look at a calendar to see if you are available.

Either would work for me really, but I voted for a set schedule as I think it would be easier to remember when the crop is.

Bumping this up - If we move to a set schedule what is everyone feeling on that? I was thinking the 2nd Friday each month would be easier to remember (since the first could sometimes fall on the first of the month and such) but then the 1st would be easy, too.
The 2nd friday would put May's crop starting on the 14th, avoiding mother's day and June's would star the 11th, which would run the week before father's day. Let me know what you think!

Sounds good to me. I know I will be away both of those weekends but since we are running week long ones now I should still be able to get in a few challenges

I'm the only one who likes to pick a weekend, Whatever majority decides is ok with me. It's hard for me do the same weekend every month because of DH's work schedule. So far though, it looks like he will be off at least for May.

Nope Amanda...
I also voted pick the weekend. we have a craziness schedule. I like being able to vote on the week that no one is out of town and we don't have anything major going on

Well the scheduled crop seems to be winning out - I'll let the poll go to the end of the week and then we'll give it a try for a month or two - if its not working out we can always switch back! But assuming the poll results don't get closer or change we'll probably be looking at the week of the 14th then if the 2nd friday sounds good to you guys.

I also wanted to give a little heads up that there will be a scrapping/posting challenge for the month of May that I'll be posting soon and I hope will get everyone busy and have fun with! I've been collecting little goodies for the prize for a few weeks now

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had much time to scrap at all. Either is fine with me though, and I hope that I'll find more scrapping time soon.
