We have our crop chat and I always find it nice to be able to just talk with you ladies and see how everyone is doing in their non-scrappy related life - and our old chit chat thread (which has long since died) was awesome when it was moving so... chat ladies!!

What is everyone up to this weekend? Any big plans for the month? Tell me about it all - the interesting, the mundane, whatever!

I'm still without my laptop, so sorry to not be around. I get maybe 5min during the day and then when the boys go to bed, but I hate to be down here all night (already been on over an hour taking care of emails and such, ugh!) but last time I checked the status on my repair it was done and awaiting final inspection and then shipment, so I think I should have it back early next week, yay!

Otherwise not much going on - the boys are both doing great though the "terrible 3s" are def in full swing - luckily Caden is so cute . Parker is as sweet as ever This weekend I’m hoping to get some things taken care of around the house and errands, then focus on scrapping!

not really anything this weekend, maybe finalize the plans for our deck so we can buy the supplies. I'm going to see the 2nd sex and the city movie tomorrow, so i guess i should rent the 1st one tonight. the in-laws are coming here again this month, they are going to go to Edmonton first though, i guess fil went to college there and hasn't been back since (he is 66) so they are going to check it out and then are coming here, during the crop to of course

omg Carrie, isn't 3 a horrible age for tantrums, my mil called them the tragic threes, when i Ryland was two he was a great kid, i always wondered why they called them the terrible twos. I've come to realize it's to give parents a false sense of hope that it will be over soon but then 3 hits and wham, it's like a light switch was flipped and he immediately stopped listening. but i wouldn't trade those years for anything. Tristan however really does fit the terrible twos, he is such a stubborn little boy

I haven't been on much either. The end of this pregnancy has been pretty rough on me. I had convinced myself that because my DD came 2 weeks early that this baby would be early too. I should have known better! I am 39 weeks 4 days today - so 3 days till my due date. Baby has been dropping for the last 3 weeks and I am sitting at almost 2 cm dilated (same as I was last week). Was pretty upset that things aren't progressing faster, but am trying to focus on 1 thing my dr said at my appointment yesterday - "all you need are contractions." So whenever my contractions start I should be good to go......maybe. We just have to get the surgeon/hospital situation figured out now. My dr's back up surgeon is going to be out of town for a week starting tomorrow and my dr will not do a delivery without a back up surgeon available. They are trying to make arrangements with the neighboring town's hospital to "borrow" their surgeon, but the hospital administrator at that hospital is doing everything he can to not have to share his surgeon (payment and insurance have been figured out and agreed to, it is just down to this guy either saying yes or no). Apparently he doesn't give a hoot about the patient, he is just in the business for the money. If they cannot get him to say yes, then I will have to be transferred by ambulance to a hospital 1 1/2 hours away and risk having my baby on the way (Labor with DD was only 4 hours, so it is possible to go faster with this one). It's all such a mess and so stressful!

Anyway, I am going to try really hard today to get a thank you card made for my DH and to finish the card from baby to DD so that they will both be done by the time I go into labor.

Not much else going on really. I should be cleaning the house, but can't seem to do much of that before I start aching all over. Definitely need to get off and go work on dinner though. Talk to you all later!

Love that statement. I tell Carrie that all the time... She's so rotten sometimes she's very lucky she's as cute as she is or I'd trade her in.

Kelsey I'm so sorry to hear about the suregon problems, you'd think that they'd have a back up plan in case the back up is out. That's terrible. I'm also sorry you feel so down about how long it's taking for your little guy to make his appearance. I was induced at 39 weeks with both my kids (for medical reasons), but I had no progression with either. Both times i feared I would go past my due date and I know that really impacted me harder than I thought it would.

LOTS happening here!!

First the messed up Carrie's referral up very badly, and long story short it came down to 2 options... take Carrie to a doctor who had ZERO experaince with her condition or the second was to wait until January to see someone who knew what they were talking about... I chose option 3. I called her current neuro 3 times a day to get her to fix it like she was supposed to do in March. It has finally been fixed, but it means that we have to drive to Dallas July 1st to admit Carrie into the hospital for 1-3 days... but the doc that will be supervising is supposed to be really good and it'll get us answers we've ben waiting for for a while now.

Also we had to rehome our dogs. It's getting so hot and our house just isn't big enough for them to be inside most of the day and then the bigger one stepped on Kate and hurt her. they're good dogs but we simply didn't have the time or space that they needed, and I hated seeing them outside in the heat so much (we did bring them in for the hottest part of the day and pretty frequently went outside and played "lets spray the dogs with water so they cool down". they really seemed to like that game. If it was up to me we'd currently have no pets with our crazy schedule but the hubby loves dogs, so we're getting 2 teeny ones (one is a teacup chihuahua)... We didn't just find any ole home for the boys, we knew the families they went to and they're each now sleeping in bed with their new owners and living the good life. And since the new dogs will be tiny they can be inside all the time without us worrying about injury to the kids and really I guess it'll work out for the better.

We just found out that next spring the Army will be moving us to North Carolina. I've never been, and I'm really excited. I'm hoping fort Bragg is near the water

We're currently in TX (hence me not getting any pages done)... I got to see Wicked the musical one Wed and LOVE LOVE LOVED it! Then next Sat is my dad's girlsfriend's birthday (we planned this trip specifically around those two events) but while we're down here I'm taking time to see friends I haven't seen in years.

Carrie is all about her terrible twos and to top that off, both kids are teething... FUN!! Carrie is getting her last 3 year old molar and Kate is getting a molar before her front teeth... weird first tooth, but it's right at the gum line ready to pop through!

I don't participate in any other boards, so I thought I'd ask here and this seems like the perfect place...

My friend recently posted on FB how sad she is about the next couple months... She has 3 daughters and in the next 2 months she'll watch her oldest become 7, middle 5, and youngest baby hit 1 year old.

What was the hardest birthday for you?? I know a lot of moms have a hard time with baby turning one, I guess it's the end on infancy???

I personally had a lot of fun and was very happy for her to hit 1 year old, but I had a REALLY hard time with 2. With her 3rd b-day coming up, I seem okay with it. I guess 2 years old was just my magic number...

All birthdays are hard!! Every April I get baby sad (the boys bdays are April 13th and 14th). It makes me sad that they are so big! Each year brings something new that they have learned, one more thing I don't need to do for them, etc. I could just be a sap though

I thought we're going to be crazy busy this weekend, but the sports day was cancelled because of all the rain we've had/are having. Both boys were supposed to each have 2 baseball games, but now I have a nice quiet Saturday for once! Then Anson has hockey practice on Sunday like usual.

Alycia - I don't know as if Kendra's birthdays have hit me too hard yet - maybe a little...I just have days that I look at her and see how fast she has grown up! She is starting Preschool this fall which just doesn't seem possible AT ALL!

I am so excited! I got 2 of my cards done the last 2 days - a thank you one for DH and then DH's Father's Day card. Posted pics of them in the June pages thread. next 2 I am going to make are: my mom's b-day card and an anniversary card for my DH. Need to work on some scrapbooking pages too!!

Still pregnant - EDD is tomorrow. Finally feeling better about the possibility of going over due. He will come when he is ready. Not much else going on. Looks like it is going to storm tonight - that is okay since we really need the rain!

I'm working on cards for a business, I'm thinking of selling them on Etsy, but I know there a a lot of other people who sell cards there, so I'm wondering if I could sell them on eBay maybe, I don't know.

Other then that nothing much is going on. I'm possibly closing my ebay business (not the card one, another one), I'm not sure though I still have to talk about it to my business partner.

I look like a Leper (sp??) For father's day I decided to do a service as a gift rather than buy a present because we have 3 father's day gifts and 4 birthday gifts to come up with this month... so my daddy has 18 acres of land and he spend so much time mowing the back and taking care of the horses and everything, after his job, he's got very little time to do the typical grooming that most of us do to our homes. So I cut back 18 trees (some of the branches as thick as Carrie's arm) and these parasitic things that have taken over his front porch

Apparently I didn't see the poison oak.

In 6th grade I got some on my face and didnt' realize. I itched so I scratched it all night long half concious and woke up looking like 2 face from Batman. Ever since I'm most suseptible (sp??) on my face... I'm friggin covered! It's on my eye lids, in my ears, around my nostrils, jawline, hands, elbows... yea this is fun!! Now I'm afraid to touch Kate cause I really don't want to give it to the girls.

Then I turned around and stepped on a rusty nail... and of course it sunk in pretty deep into my foot. FUN! (I am of course way behind on my tetanus vax)

With the foot pain and itchy-ness I had to cut my trip to see my family short... and so I'm home now using clear calymine lotion... when it dries it peels up so with the rash and the peeling lotion it looks like my skin is peeling off in chunks... let me tell you I'm super attractive right now!!!

I just got a boatload of hat & hair clip orders, so I haven't had any time to scrap!! I did however, get 3 new clear stamp sets from Michaels (woo hoo $1.50 bin!!), & 2 sets from SU!. I got Very Punny & Love Bug for cheap!! $20 for both! I love Very Punny, it's so cute!! Now I just need to quickly make up about 25 clips & crochet 8 hats, then I can play with them!!

RJ - How much do you charge for your cards? I was hoping to get into card making a little more and just sell them locally. I'm not very good at all this computer stuff, so am not too confident about selling them online.

Alycia - BIG HUGS!!!! That has to hurt so bad!!! Closest I have got to a poison oak rash is breaking out in a rash because I was allergic to either the cheap laundry detergent I bought, the cheap dryer sheets I bought, or the lotion I got for Christmas. I doubt an allergic rash is anywhere near comparable to a poison oak rash. And to step on a nail to top it off. I hope that the rash starts going away soon and that your wound heals quickly.

Robyn - I just got the stamp set Very Punny off of ebay the other day. Should be here within the next week or so.

Jen - Have a GREAT time at your girls weekend!!!

Carrie - So happy you got your laptop back!!

I am still pregnant......watch baby will decide to come the week of the crop! This baby REALLY needs to make his appearance as I am spending an awful lot of time on ebay and buying way too much stuff. Started my buying spree on the 23rd of May and have bought: some punch strips and punch art books, lots of stamping supplies, a lot of over 1500 sheets of 8 1/2 by 11 cardstock, some embossing powder, some fibers, and 8 SU stamp sets. Can't say I did too shabby though. All of that has come to a total of $147.01. I am working on 2 more cards right now - my mom's birthday card and a card for one of my former ballet dancers who has a recital coming up the end of June. Thinking about trying to make the date night card (on the splitcoaststampers site) for an anniversary card for DH. Other than that, there's not much else going on here.

Nope! Still not here! Had a dr appointment today though (40 weeks 3 days today) and the dr really thinks baby should be here by Monday. Had really bad back and leg pains last night along with some pretty good cramping (just like I had with DD about 24 hours before she was born). Apparently all that pain really helped make some progress. I am now a loose 2 cm dilated (was an almost 2 last Thursday) and cervix is only about 1/4 inch thick (apparently it was 3/4 - 1 inch thick last Thursday). Dr has been telling me that all I need are contractions to get this labor going, but after talking to her today about going into labor with DD we decided that I am one of those women whose water has to break to bring on true contractions. So, I am hoping for some more pains and cramps and for my water to break on it's own sometime this weekend. If baby isn't here by late Monday then I will go in for another appointment and we will talk about doing a light induction (just enough to get me going) toward the end of next week. Would love if baby would come sooner than later as this pregnancy insomnia is getting pretty bad!! I was up till 2:30 am last night and only slept until 5:30 am this morning - couldn't get back to sleep after that. Came home and took a 3 hour nap after my dr appointment. Wondering how late I will be up tonight. Doesn't help that there are some pretty nasty looking storms heading our way right now. I HATE night time thunderstorms!!! DH never got our weather radio hooked up to the antenna, so we really have no way to tell if there is a tornado in the area unless someone is up watching the radar/NOAA site. (One thing I really don't like about living in the country!)

Sorry your DH is being a pain in the rear. Hope things get better!

I didn't get much of the crop done, but I did get Kate's birth scrapped, and since it took my over 2 years to scrap Carrie's, I think I'm in a pretty good place. I'm going to be working on my june challenge page tomorrow I hope. I did get my scrappy area all cleaned up and thing put away again (haven't done that in weeks) so there was some accomplishment

wtg on getting some scrapping in! I was hoping to but didn't have a chance this weekend. It was a great weekend though! Friday was Steve's birthday, Saturday we took Caden out for some one on one time with DH and I - we went to dinner, took Caden to buy his new bike (which he loves!) and then we went to see Toy Story 3. Yesterday we worked in the yard and garden most of the day and relaxed in the evening.

How was everyone's weekend? Did all the dads have a nice Father's day?

Could we... would anyone be interrested in a swap??? I have recently gotten so bored with my stock, and I know when that happens and you have freinds in the area you do a swap, but I don't have scrappy friends around here, so I was wondering if there was any intrest here?? I know since it's shipping we couldnt' send too much, but we could make some kind of parameters on how much to send and mix up our stash a little... just wondering if anyone else would like to??

I would be interested in a swap. Maybe that is the kick in the pants that I need to get back down to my desk.

I have been living in chaos land the past few weeks. We went and picked up my 3 step kids and it took a bit of time to adjust to doubling the family again, then last Monday DH felt his back pop, fell to the floor and got to ride in an ambluance to the ER -- all due to a herniated disk. Tuesday was his bday! It was spent back at the urgent care on base and all drugged up. Then he had all of last week off trying to recover some from this injury. It's been taking a lot out of me; playing nurse and having him here all week. I am happy he is back at work but afraid he is pushing himself too hard. He cant sit in a chair for more then about 20 minutes and he has a desk job right now. Cars have been bothering him if longer then 10 mins and tonight he has to drive for over 2.5 hours!! He says it will be fine, but I am worried and concerned about it. When I tried to talk to him about it he snapped at me and then hung up the phone. Now I am just pissed at him.

Anyways,n sorry for my little rant... I was just trying to say that its been crazy here and I would love to get back to scrapping.
