Try using ink in a new way to you. Here are some ideas to help get you started. Try a distress, or emboss something with ink or spray it etc. Go crazy!

I don't use ink much. I didn't look at the tutorials, but I did something I've never done with ink. I used a stamp, embossing powder and a heat embossing gun to make the 'Tis the Season embellishment on the page.
