I have been bidding on Lyrical Letters this is my third time it seems odd that there are actions ending every hour and the bidding stops like right above what I bid. Makes me wonder about how this works???
If you have a Micheal's nearby, they have a bunch of carts on clearance, including the Lyrical Letters. I just picked that up last weekend for under $30. (of course I haven't had energy to play with it yet)
With ebay, I've won several carts. I tend to only buy from the ones with free shipping and have usually spent between $20-$30 for them, sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less. There are usually lots up for sale and they're new & in the plastic package. If I have time to sit & watch, I'll bid up to the last moment. I usually don't have that time, so I just put in my maximum bid and then just check periodically. If I win, yay, if I lose I'll try again another time. Typically the bids go up in 50 cent intervals so if another person has a higher maximum bid then what you put in they'll win for just over what you bid. It is frustrating, and all I can say is be patient. I've won several thru them, and usually eventually get the ones I want.
I was my cart on the third try for just under $20 with free shipping.
The lasy thing I won on EBay was a lot of used baby sleepers, bid $2.81 shipping $12.00!!! It ended up being about $2.50 a sleeper. I hate paying shipping...
HOWEVER Michael's is 30 miles away or 6 gallons of gas AKA $16.80. I wanted to go to town and DH set me straight on that... I was willing to spend the $200 on scrappy stuff to make it worth while, but he wasn't buying it.
I usually click on the completed listings over in the left hand column when I do a search for an item I want and see what the lowest the item went for and then set my max a couple dollars above that. Sometimes it takes me a while to get the item I want and sometimes (when I am a little more impatient) I up my max just a little so that I can get it a little sooner. It has been a while since I bid on any carts - but I did win the Lyrical Letters cart earlier this year. I think I got it for $21 with free shipping.
