Hi, i have noticed you posting a bit and just wanted to welcome you to the paper scrapbooking board, i would love to see some of your pages. I am Tamara, wife to Richard and SAHM to Ryland, Tristan and Holden
The last time I worked on a real scrapbook was after my son was born (almost 6 years ago ). I just got the cricut machine (expression & cake) and I'm close to 100 cartridges. I have been stockpiling paper for years too. My stack of paper is about 4 feet tall. We (my mother and I) just put all of our craft stuff into the bonus room over our garage (it was in the basement), so we have a huge workspace and everything is all together. I have been doing a lot more crafts since then, mostly sewing. Now I am ready to focus on the paper stuff. yay!
I am excited to find this forum. I have been enjoying looking at other people's pictures of their pages. I tend to be a bit strange, so the stuff I like, other people might think is weird. I'll try to remember to take some pictures of the pages I made way back when. They're probably really boring and need to be re-done.
I'll try to remember to take a picture of our craft room. It really needs to be cleaned. I sewed a bunch of bags for Christmas. I hate wasting all of that wrapping paper, so this year my goal was to go wrapping paper free. I think I was a little nuts to try to do it all in one year, but I got it done (yay!). I made fabric bags with ribbon ties in various sizes. Hopefully, I won't have to make any more next year. I made around 80 of them this year.
I sew only simple things. I like to make these weird bunny things, but they take a lot longer than you'd think they should by looking at them.
I also brought my scrapbooks to work and my camera, so I can get the pictures of that today. I only have two. One was for my son and the other was to help my cousin with a school project. The school project part is really boring, but the doodles are hilarious, if I do say so myself.
OK, so here are my picture of my son's scrapbook. My disclaimer is that the pictures are slightly blurry because I was inside and I didn't want to use my flash and I made these 5 years ago and don't really have any scrapbooking experience. Most of the layouts are lame, but I like the text blurbs because I think they are funny. I have blacked out a lot of personal information because I don't really want it floating around the internet.
Also, I had to make these clickable thumbnails because photobucket is being stupid and cacehing my images that were too big.
This page is just me goofing off with the cricut. It's not really for any scrapbook, it's just a theme page.
Horrible picture of me. I really hate my old glasses. I enjoyed the text though.
I enjoyed the text on this one too.
The page on the left makes me laugh. The circles on the right page are supposed to be bubbles. I had to blur out some of his bits.
The picture on the top left is one of my all time favorites. Such a great smile. The crying picture is funny to me because what kid cries on Christmas?
My craft room is a oddly shaped room that sits over my garage. The desks in it are kitchen cabinets with 30" deep countertops. It's hard to tell the size of the desk, but it's about 12' x 13'. It used to be part of our home office, but none of us work out of the home anymore, so I re-purposed it.
the bunny thing is cute and i love the fabric you used on it, I think you should use that theme page in a scrapbook, it is adorable. I love how you did the intro page title. I like all your journaling too, sounds so fun when it is written from a baby's perspective. the sleepy time pic is so cute, i love little baby yawns. The Christmas page is sooo cute, i agree with your favorite picture, it is fantastic.
I love your craft space, so much room and gorgeous, i love the desks, and it looks pretty clean to me
I'm late in chiming in, but - I'm Becky, mama to little Mark (8 months old), DH is Tony. I've been scrapping for about 4 years now and am so so jealous of your scrapping space. Looks so nice & organized. Mine is an absolute mess right now. Your pages are adorable & I can't wait to see what new ones you make.
