I’m always looking to get more organized, and a freshly made over and organized space always gets me back into a scrappy mood, so Tamara and I thought we’d make a challenge of this and get organized and refresh our spaces together! Even if you’re already set you can participate, find some new ideas, spruce things up, or give your space a makeover.

All the details have yet to be fully worked out but here is the basic idea:

The challenge will run just shy of 3 weeks starting Monday the 24th and ending right before the start of the February crop.

On the first day of the challenge you’ll need to take a photo of your current space (but not post it until the end!). Each day of the crop we’ll post a new thread regarding some aspect of your space (ribbon organizers, tips and tricks, decoration ideas, questions, paper storage, etc) where everyone can chime in and share ideas we’ve collected as well.

At the end of the challenge you’ll post a thread giving a tour of your new space, starting with the before photo, and using the daily threads as a guide (we’ll outline it ).

Hopefully by the end of the 2.5-3 weeks we’ll all be refreshed, loving our new spaces that are inspiring and easy to create in, and ready to tackle the February crop!!!

This is a much needed challenge for me. My space is once again a mess. So count me in for this one.

Hmmm... I might participate. Since I moved so recently, it's not too bad. And I'm not in a position to spend a bunch of money on scrap organization. But I'm sure I'll come up with some little things I can do to make it better.

Sounds like a plan I have most of my stuff organized more or less how I want it, but the things I don't have that way are a disaster (my poor ribbon!)

Janessa, I'm all for finding things around the house to use for organizing stuff or things that are cheap. I think the craft carts I have my paper in are the only things I bought that are craft intended and even then I got them at target and paid way less then similar ones at JoAnn's or Michaels.

Ohhhhh....I so wish I could participate. I will just have to save the daily challenges and do them as I reassembled my craft room as I don't think we will have the basement done until late Feb or march.

Get the priority mail boxes from the post office to make into paper holders.

I am in i finally got all my scrap stuff in one place again. My scrap budget is a result of how much I stick to my diet and work out to my 30 day shred!!! If I do EVERYTHING I should have $60

All my stuff is currently put away and will change in the next six months, but I guess I'll give it a try.

I actually have an email where someone sent me instructions on turning cereal boxes into paper holders/magazine holders. I'll have to dig that out. And I'm all for saving money here & using everyday things.

Nicole - that is a great motivator. You go girl!!!

The priority mail boxes are awesome - I save mine from scrappy orders and I have made them into a paper holder for me and I made one to hold all of Caden's coloring books and such
