I think it's the funny, quirky things that would make the LO fun...and unique to your Dh....versus "he loves me, he makes me laugh, he has a great smile, I like how he makes me feel" (almost standard for many/most men).
For my Dh:
He's such an involved father.
He paints the kids toenails when they ask for it.
He does housework - including making dinner most nights.
He's a great provider.
He nevers says a single thing about what I spend money on.
He indulges my traveling bug.
He's a-okay with grabbing me some tampons at the drugstore.
He has such a wonderful dark sense of humor.
He sees eye-to-eye with me at least 90% of the time.
I've
never caught him looking at another woman (not to say that he hasn't but he has enough respect for me to hide it real well if he does).
He watches the kids while I take a nap on Sundays (and if the kids are being loud in the house he takes them somewhere).
He's one of the most dependable people I know.
He enjoys going out on all family outings - walk, bike rides, park, zoo, movies, bookstore, and even Chuck E Cheese.
He makes me feel everything will be all right no matter what.
