I do not have a tutorial for this technique. Paper Piercing is when you poke small holes in your paper in simple designs. You can also take this a step farther and hand draw little lines between the holes to create a faux stitching look.
Approximate time from start to finish: Depends on how much you do
Difficulty: 1 - Super Easy!
Suggestions: Don't make your holes too small or they are hard to see.
Here is a pic of my finished projects!
Pierced border (on strip of paper across middle of page) and corners:
Pierced flourish:
The holes on this one were a bit on the small side - should have made them a little bigger.
Now it is your turn! I challenge you to use this technique on a page or card!!

I also have a piercing tool, but it doesn't look like that. Mine look like little bugs. I'll try to figure out what they are and post a link or picture.
I have never done this. I was thinking you used a hole punch but I guess in the middle of a page that would be hard LOL. I will have to try to figure something out.

You could use a hole punch close to the edges and do as Tamara mentions below!

Here's my page with this technique. I feel like it's missing something though. I am not good at all with empty space. So even with the piercing, it feels empty.
Great page Becky! If you think you need to fill the space a little more you could add a few smaller patterned paper hearts around the paper pierced ones.
Thanks ladies!! It was a fun page to do. I LOVE those pics of DH & Mark. The paper tearing to get the frame took a while, but the piercing was a cute touch, and didn't take long at all. I've not used my piercer in a long time, so it was nice to pull it out.
