I have my craft area set up in my basement. It's partially finished (meaning, one half has walls, carpet, etc and the other is storage) so I'm in the side that's 'finished'.

Anyhow...I'm sitting at my table, about to glue on some jewels to my LO and something ran past me. At first I thought it was the cat so I look around and my cat, Tiki, is no where down here?

Then again, something catches my eye....over near the cat's litter box (which is near my work area, gross - I know!) And low and behold....I see...

....a tiny little mouse!!!

Well, I screamed like a little sissy! Then I called for my husband.

This little bugger was fast!!!! Laurence (my DH) chased it around the basement with a shoe box for a good 10 mins before it got behind the entertainment stand.

Now, it's somewhere down there!!! And wouldn't you know...my cat could care less! She's no help! I guess I'll need to put out some traps I have too much that mouse could get into!!!

Aw, they are harmless little things.... Ok, so not really . We had a couple living in our garage. We put out traps with peanut butter and they were gone in three days. We got the kind of traps where you don't have to take them out. It was worth the $4 each not to have to take it out of the trap.

We use to have a plan with Terminex thanks to stink bugs and spiders. They had set a bunch of those glue traps which seemed to ork but even so, I make my husband take them out to the trash. YUCK!

My husband was cracking up because everytime it would run out from behind things, I'd scream!

When I first see a mouse or bugs, I kinda freak for a second because it catches me off guard.. But once I get my barrings straight, I take care of whatever it is..

I would have screamed to, and my cat too would probably have just sat there & watched all the commotion. I hope your DH can trap it & get rid of it for you.

So sorry you have to put up with the little helper. Hopefully he is caught soon! Mice are one thing I hope do not get into our new house any time soon! They don't bug me too much where I live on a farm and see them often on the out buildings.
