It's hard to believe it's April already??? Where are the days/weeks/months going to? How's everyone doing? I take none of us were the lucky winners of the mega millions.

DH & I did end up buying some tickets, we don't typically buy them at all. Oh well, it was fun to dream for a little while.

With April fools, I guess I'm not one for pranks. The pg test especially would be hurtful to see if it's not real. Please don't take this wrong, I'd be thrilled for you or anyone who is pg, but a false one just makes me remember all those months it took me to finally get pg and all we went through to get our precious LO, as well as all the heartbreaking stories of ladies here on JM and IRL who also deal with infertility. I guess I'm just a stick in the mud with that.

But on to other & happier thoughts, I am thoroughly enjoying all the blooming trees & flowers lately. I do love spring. My allergies don't, but I'm ignoring them for now as best as I can. My SIL & baby are still doing okay, but looks like they may be keeping her in the hospital for a while. I'm going to call her in an hour or so to see how they're doing today & if the docs have any updates. The latest plan over the weekend was to stay in the hospital and keep the LO baking as long as possible. If they can get to May 15th (37 weeks) or as close as possible to that date, they will be happier. SIL seems to have an infection of sorts, so they're keeping a very close eye on that as well as giving antibiotics and steroids to help the LO's lung development. MIL is coming back home on Friday, and next week will be busy with Easter Holy week followed by Easter on Apr 15th. We were originally planning Mark's bday for Apr 21st, but we may bump that back 1 week to have a bit more time as we're were planning a combined bday & going away for MIL. She leaves for Greece on Apr 29th, but we could do this that Sat, Apr 28th if she wants more time. Mark's part is easy, cake & icecream, snacks for the LOs. Her part will involve more as it'll most likely be an open house type over several hours (around the bday party) so we'll need more stuff for adults, plus dinner for the close friends of hers that evening. Manageable, but still a lot of cooking/preparing.

Now that I've rambled on & on, how is everyone doing? Plans for April?

We bought $100 in tickets for that mega millions and I think we only won like $6 Oh well, like Becky said, it's fun to dream.

I've never been a fan of April Fools Day. I'm guessing it's because I'm a pretty gullible person and wear my feelings on my sleeves so take the jokes too seriously (and hurtful sometimes). But after last year I TOTALLY hate the day....on April 1st last year I found out I had a tumor on my left ovary AND that my appendix had ruptured 9 days before that so had to have emergency surgery and spent 12 days in the hospital. So, definately not a fan of April Fools Day.

Today I have a busy day planned for work. I got my scrapbuilders page off to Kelsey yesterday and really like the way it turned out. Also worked on some of my embellies for the swap.....and while they were drying Jaylen decided it was time to play with them so they are ruined and I have to start over I have some of it all done but need to get a move on it to finish them all up in time to get in the mail. I'm excited to see what everyone does for the swap.

It must have been the weekend for our LO's to play around with our projects. Mark decided to try & eat my embellie practice and then proceeded to say Ewwww, and run around spitting it out. And then my scrapbuilders card, he decided it was funny to run away from mommy and then tripped and in the process ripped my card. I can probably repair the card, the embellies were destroyed.

We didn't buy any tickets...so no Mega Millions winners here.

Becky - Still keeping your SIL and her LO in my thoughts and prayers. Sounds like you are going to have a busy day when you have Mark's birthday! So sorry that Mark got a hold of your practice embellie and cardbuilders card.

Jessica - So sorry Jaylen got a hold of your embellies.

AFM - Been super busy here. Last week was super busy! Preschool Monday morning, Preschool and Bible Study Wednesday morning and Awanas that night, Soccer practice Thursday afternoon, Kendra's program/pancake supper and silent auction Friday evening, Soccer game Saturday morning and City Easter egg hunt that afternoon, Church yesterday morning and then a day trip with DH (He's getting grumpy being around the farm 24/7 so he needed to get away). Hoping this week isn't as bad. Been trying to catch up on this weekends cleaning today and hoping to have a little scrappy time tonight. REALLY need to get started on my embellies for the swap! Kendra did great at her first soccer game! Scored 3 goals (although, no one is supposed to keep track of points and there is no goalie for this age group). She definitely gets the idea of the game a lot better than she did last year. Other than that, not much exciting going on here.

As for April Fool's, I didn't do anything this year. Didn't want to make DH any grumpier than he already was.

We got like $60 in lotto numbers but only won like $2. Boooooo

We dont do April Fools pranks. Guess we just arnt that spontaneous or fun. However, we did go to the inlaw's house to celebrate Easter with that side of the family. The kids all had a good time and got spoiled both buy us and Nana & Papa. We decided to fly kites because it was pretty windy that day. One kite just wouldnt stay up. DH has this thing when he is flying kites that after he lets out all the string, he has to attach another thing of sting on it so he can let it out twice as far. ( ) Well needless to say, after he did this, the windy died down and the kite dove into the powerlines and got all tangled up. ( again ) While that was happening FIL decided to also add an extra roll of string to his kite and it turned out the string wasnt even attached to the handle, so his kite flew away. ( men, ) I kept crashing mine and eventually got the string in a big knot and gave up. DH & I went for a walk to find FIL's kite. We actually did find it and were able to take it home. Everyone was surprised. So that was the excitement of our April 1st.

I need to get the embellies done for the swap. Tomorrow we have a MOPS planning meeting at the park and hopefully it wont be flippin windy and cold. So tired of the wind. Wednesday is a playdate at the park, Thursday guess there is a BBQ we got invited to but eh, I dont know if I want to go. DH can take the big kids and go. Im so unsocial. lol Friday, no plans. Work on embellies. No Easter weekend plans, sept maybe BBQ at the end of our street. Again, Eh, so unsocial. lol

Kelsey - you are definitely busy lately. Sounds like fun though. And yay for Kendra doing so well with her soccer.

Robin - The kites sound like a fun day, and I have to chuckle about the men & the strings. I can easily see all that happening. and that would make a great scrap page, even without pics, just the story. You all will look back years down the road and enjoy that story. and I completely understand being unsocial. After a full week at work especially, I just don't have the energy sometimes for get togethers of any type.

Nicole - those look very yummy!!!

AFM - last night was unproductive. It took hours to get Mark down to sleep & then he'd wake up fussing. I'm pretty sure it's mainly those molars coming in, and he is miserable. But it also makes for a tired & cranky mama too. Thankfully alot of my co-workers are on vacay this week, so I can work done without many interruptions. Once I have some more tea, I'm sure I'll be less cranky....

about a cranky Mark (and Mama too). Enjoy your tea and hopefully no interruptions.

Nicole, those look so yummy! Care to share the recipie?

Robin, I haven't flown kites in.....forever!

Not sure how my day is going to shape up. DH seems to be coming down with a cold and Jaylen has been definately showing us her "terrible twos". I "have" to go to the craftstores today (darn ) and get a couple of things and then "hopefully" get some work done today...provided Jaylen lets me.

Robin - Kite flying sounds like so much fun! And totally agree about being tired of the wind!

Nicole - Those snickers look soooo yummy!

Becky - Sorry Mark is so cranky right now. I hope his molars come in soon and he is back to being a happy little boy soon! I'm not looking forward to Josh getting those molars!

Jessica - Hooray for a craft store trip!! Sorry Jaylen is showing her terrible 2's and that your DH might be coming down with something.

AFM - I forgot to mention yesterday that I feel like CRUD! Hoping it is just a sinus infection and not the bug that DH's mom brought back up from Texas! Sunday my throat really hurt, then yesterday my sinuses pretty well felt raw. So far today hasn't been bad, so hoping it stays that way. So tired too. It is cold and rainy here today. Don't mind the rain....but hating this cold after such nice 80 degree days!

I hope you feel better soon Kelsey!!

Jess, have fun at the craft store & hope DH isn't getting sick. We all know how much men become babies when they're sick.

Nicole, thanks for the recipe link. Those are so yummy looking.

Nicole....thank you for the recipie!

Hope you feel better soon Nicole.....boooo for being sick.

Poor Mark! It's funny how kids act differently in the same situations....I don't remember Jaylen being cranky when she was getting any of her teeth - then again, maybe I'm wanting to forget I do know she's been a cranky/fussy/temper trantrum throwing little girl right now which is very frustrating. So big hugs from me to you sweetie!

I did make it to the craft store(s)....or the Devil Stores as DH calls them, LOL! Seriously, he loves that I scrap. Quick story before I tell ya what I bought....a couple of Christmases ago he was gift shopping for me (I've only been scrapping a few years) and when he came home he said, "now this isn't saying I bought you anything from there, but I was at the craft store and I can TOTALLY see how you can spend HOURS there" But, the Devil Store comment came when I was out running errands and shopping when I got a text from him that said, "Jessica Cxxxxx don't you go to none of those Devil Stores (craft)...LOL!" .....which if you're a movie buff may recognize the similarities to The Waterboy with Adam Sandler. Sorry, got lost in reminiscing..... Back to what I got yesterday.....I've never embossed (as mentioned in an earlier post) so got a heat tool, emboss ink & powder, also never used those Cricut ink pens so got a set of those to try, a distress tool (not the one I wanted, but this will work to try out since it wasn't that expensive) and six colors of baker's twine. Now it's just a matter of using my new stuff.

DH does seem to be coming down with a cold And I wasn't able to get any work done yesterday, so need to log off JM and get it done before everybody (DH & DD) wakes up and I can't.

So sorry that now both your DH and DD are getting sick.

I am still fighting this sinus infection or possible bug. Josh's nose started running yesterday and I could tell he has some drainage too as he was a little gaggy when he woke up in the middle of the night. DH really wants to take off, but not if we are all feeling sick....but I would rather tough it out with 2 sick kids than live with grumpy Gus for the next 3 months! His back started going out yesterday too, so hoping that might change his mind about going. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

No Denver trip for us. Josh woke up and started sneezing snot everywhere. So we are guessing that I probably don't have a sinus infection but rather some kind of bug. Called the dr office and got us squeezed into their schedule today. Josh and I are now on antibiotics. So hopefully I will be over this bug soon. Really hoping DH and Kendra don't come down with it now.

BOO to sick kids all three of mine are sick to sickish. i think they all have fevers Scarlett puked and isn't eatting. Beau is sounding croupy again, but he hated his medicine from the ER. None are any where near needing a doctor, clear snot and taking fluids it is all good.

What was sick and almost killed me was... no not my DH but my ISP. 24 hour bug, I thought i was going to die! It was especially difficult because I am doing a big 52 weeks of cooking and ALL my recipes are on line I had to redo my menu for today with easy stuff that didn't need me to read the recipes.

Scrappy wise nothing there but i am like way ahead for this month so it is ALL GOOD!
