Approximate time from start to finish: I'm going to say about 5-10 minutes.
Difficulty: I'm going to say a 1.
Suggestions: Great project to do with your kids! Let them blow the bubbles!
I only had black tempera paint on hand so I experimented with acrylic paint and food coloring. Neither of those 2 seemed to work for me. I only got white bubbles or barely noticeable color with the bubbles with the acrylic and food coloring. Also, the bubbles didn't seem to stick to the paper like the tempera paint bubbles did.
Here is my test with the black tempera paint. I'm sure it would look much nicer with bright colors! LOL!:
Here is a pic of the cards that they made (from the site listed above):
I think these cards would make super cute thank you cards for teachers! I think it would also make a cool background paper for a scrapbook page!
I will have to go buy some tempera paint so that I can try out a card and then will have to come back and post it later.
Now it is your turn! I challenge you to give this technique a try!!
**Remember, if you give this technique a try by 11:59 PM MT on 4/30/12 and post a picture in this thread, you will get 5 points toward the post/scrap challenge!**
