It just doesn't seem possible that it's August already. How is everyone doing? Are you meeting your goals (scrappy or otherwise) for the summer that you wanted to get done.
I'm not getting as much things organized at home that I wanted to this summer either, just never enough time. We did get the finished section of the basement made more into a playroom for me & Mark, so that is one area I did get accomplished. Now I only need to get to the rest of the house.
I didn't get as many pages done as I wanted to for July. Still have 4 pages pulled & ready to go to finish up the Gallery Hop (except mine) and the July crop....hopefully I'll get them done in time to start the August crop.
Kelsey, I had to laugh about your comment at the end of July Chat about you finally making it to Joann's only to be told you need to leave. I swear Jaylen HATES going to the devil stores....she always throws a fit within 5 minutes of walking in the store. Altho....lately when we drive by Joann's (yes, I've been able to drive by and not stop ) she says "Joann's". That's my girl...I'll get her crafting yet. She already has her own box with some paper to cut & color, a few stickers, crayons & scissors (working on how to hold those properly).
AFM, I have to work today (fairly long day at that). Jaylen's doing pretty good on the potty training...seems to be more of a game sometimes, but if it's working that's great. Baha (that's our dog) went to the vet last night to take off what DH thought was a tick, but is actually a rapidly growing skin tag (it'll be taken off today). He had to stay the night there which was very odd not having him around last night. The skin tag may or may not be cancerous (he's fairly young, it's rapidly growing and he's a rottweiler so chances of it being cancerous is higher) but I'm not going to have it sent in for biopsy....I just don't want to know. It's already bad enough "knowing" my mom is dieing faster every day I don't need to know about my dog as well. Other than that he's healthy & happy. Now, mom is another story....she's back in the hospital again. The assisted living facility she's in doesn't know if she fell, or blacked out or what happend but apparently she crawled (she's having lots of trouble walking now since she fractured her sacrum) from the bathroom to her bedroom....so they got her transported to the hospital and when I talked with ER a couple of hours later they said her EKG results were quite different than they had been in the past (she doesn't have heart problems so that's an odd one) so I requested that she stay in the hospital for observation.
As I said, I have to work today so no scrappy time at all. Hoping that I can get 2 more pages done tomorrow. In order to meet my 100 page challenge I need to do a little over 3 pages per week for the rest of the year
(((Hugs))) Jess, I hope Baha is back home today & that you get some answers about Mom soon. That is so stressful for you. Yay for Jaylen & pottytraining. I'm glad it's going good now. She needs to talk to her buddy over here tho, still nothing but the running around "naked" going on here.
Nicole, I peaked at pagemaps last night. There are some cute ones this month too.
AFM, Mark is down for an early nap, so that means I have about 1 hour maybe 1 1/2 hours before he wakes up. I'm off to try to play.
Jessica - So sorry to hear about your mom and your dog. I hope Baha is back home tonight and all is well with him. I also hope that everything with your mom turns out okay. Hooray for better potty training with Jaylen! And hooray for having 4 more pages ready to go!! I can't wait to see them!
Nicole - I wasn't done with July yet either!! I'm excited to see what Page Maps has this month and what you do with the sketches!!
Becky - Hooray for Mark taking an early nap! I hope you get a lot done while he is napping!! Can't wait to see what you create!!
AFM - I'm getting a late start today. My sinuses are acting up and I felt pretty cruddy this morning. Probably wouldn't be so bad if DH wouldn't have woke me up when he came to bed at 4 am, then woke me up with his snoring at 5 (at that point I moved out to the couch), Then woke up at 6 because the sun was shining in the living room window, and Josh was up at 7. I did go back later this morning and took an hour nap while the kids watched a movie. Feeling a bit better now. Finally got caught up on laundry and got the 3 bedrooms, the living room, and most of the kitchen and dining room cleaned. Going to work on picking up my mess in the basement and my scrappy room today so that I can start scrapping again.
Yuck for feeling icky, Kelsey. Yay for getting everything put away & cleaned...coming back after being gone even a few days is hard.
I'm sure Mark will be ready to potty train soon, Becky. When he's ready you'll know it. Had a little bit of back tracking in that area yesterday so hopefully we can get back on track today.
DH picked up Baha yesterday afternoon and promptly spoiled him with a tiny container of HagenDas icecream Then later he picked mom up and took her back home. A conversation I had with the doc around noon yesterday revealed that at some time between the end of March (yet another hospital visit of mom's) up to about a week ago she'd had some sort of a mild heart attack. Everything seems fine now with the exception that she was argumentative with the hospital staff, had quite a bit of confusion going on and knew why but yet didn't know why she was in the hospital. DH said she was very confused. Jaylen & I will go see her today. Right now, I need to hurry here on JM then get to scrappin before the little trouble maker wakes up
So glad Baha is home Jessica!! Glad the drs were able to give you some answers on your mom.
I managed to get the toys in the den and toy room (downstairs) picked up yesterday as well as putting a bunch of baby clothes, that we had gotten out for a friend to go through, back into the storage room. Got my scrappy room completely picked up!!! Vacuumed the den, toy room, spare bedroom, and scrappy room too. Plans for today are to clean the 2 bathrooms and the mud room this morning and then spend some time scrapping this afternoon while Josh naps.
Kelsey - sounds like you're getting the house back in order & I hope you did get some scrappy time in today.
Jess - glad Baha & Mom are back home. (((hugs))) I know it was stressful.
AFM - it was a hectic day at work, and I was sooooooo happy to come home. Mark is fed, bathed and starting to fall asleep so it'll be bedtime soon for him. I hope to get back to my pages I started yesterday at naptime.
Becky - Sorry you had such a hectic day at work today. I hope Mark goes to bed easily for you tonightand that you are able to finish your pages.
AFM - I got bot bathrooms and half the mud room cleaned before Josh went down for a nap. Got 3 pages done (one has been sitting on my desk waiting for a title for a month). Will try to upload pics tomorrow. Also got the lawn mowed today (Finally - it was turning into quite the jungle).
Tomorrow will be my first scrappy day of the month i think i am going to use my 2 hours me time to ... clean up and then prep. The page maps are looking good to me and I am gtting some ideas what pictures I want to use so after I put away all my loose papers from last month and maybe the pages pulled that I never did and don't plan on doing i can prep some pages. The way it is orgnaized it is nice to only have to clean once a month. I think I also have some loose picture floating in my picture grouping book.
I also wanna make a list of scrappy cr*p I want, er need and what not.

Did you need to pull out the swather to mow the lawn? There have been times when I wish we had one Yay for getting so much done and ready for scrappy time!

Didn't get any scrappy time yesterday afternoon and may not today....DH isn't having a good day and says he's going to start looking for work "away from home" because he's so fed up with the people at his current job. I can't blame him....they treat him like crap, don't appreciate the beautiful work he does (as opposed to when they do the same work that looks awful) that in turn brings them more business & the 8th grade politics is horrible (back-stabbing & a$$kissing from everybody that works there - including the owners)....he feels his bad mood about work is bringing me down so says he wants to leave and work elsewhere. So instead of scrappy time I'll be dealing with that issue on top of everything else going on. Sorry....enough whining. I did get a page done yesterday that I'll post. Hoping everybody gets at least some scrappy time in over the weekend and whether you do or don't....please try to make it a great weekend.

Almost! LOL!! It was about knee height in some places (darn weeds!). I also managed to break 2 of the spokes on one of the back wheels in the process (trying to turn the mower on side hills).
Jessica - So sorry you are having to add troubles with your DH's work to everything else you have going on right now. I hope you are able to get some scrappy time soon!
AFM - I got 2 cards and 1 page done today. I was bad and did that instead of putting up the beans DH and Kendra picked the other day and working out. It just feels so nice to finally scrap again! And I know I won't be getting any scrapping in this weekend.
So Wayne got paid yesterday and he came home and put new ducts under the house to make our A/C more efficient. He still need to find some R-22 to add to our A/C if he can find any and make an adapter then we have to have an A/C guy come out which will mean replacing all the freeon with whatever the new stuff is... AKA spending A LOT of money.
Tomorrow the temp is suposed to drop 10 grees down to a measley 100 degrees more importantly our night time temp wil go too and we can catch up and get the house cool. It is verty sad when your scrapbooking becaomes a sweat inducing activity.
In the mean while I am going to hang Scarlett out to dry. Here new thing is to slip into my bedroom LOCK the door and get into my scrapbooking stuff. Or she'll say I hae to go potty and go to use the master bathroom and again get into my scrap stuff. Of course I cannot find the key to the door.
LOL about needing a swather. Our yard isn't that bad, but there are some tall weeds in my flower beds taller then me. It's just been too freaking hot to get out there and weed, and that part of the house is in constant sun. I will have to get to it eventually, it's looking pretty bad.
As for today, well we had 3 appointments, 1 for the house, and 2 to show the condo we're trying to rent. All 3 were no shows. Only the last one had the courtesy to call us, but even then it was 10 minutes before she was supposed to arrive. So we are all pretty cranky & tired from all of this. DH is walking Mark right now, and then I hope to get him settled for the night. I want a cool shower, an iced tea, and some me aka scrappy time. In that order please.

AFM, I didn't get any pages completed this weekend. I'm working on a 2 pager, but keep getting caught up in the details and never did get it finished. We also weren't home much this weekend, so all 3 of us are pretty cranky & tired. It was so hard getting everyone up this morning and out the door. It should be easier now, we did get an acceptable applicant for the condo and we'll be signing lease this coming weekend.
Whew, I am so exhausted. Work was super busy, but I did get lots accomplished. I wasn't able to get back onto JM though at lunchtime, but it seems to be working fine from home. I had hoped to have some scrappy time tonight, but instead just relaxed with DH & Mark. We were so busy this weekend, and didn't get a lot of relaxing family time. It was nice to relax together tonight. I hope everyone has had a good day & is getting some scrappy time in.
I got a 24 pack of colored fine-tipped sharpies at Sam's Club. It has 3 colors of brown in it. I them
DROOL.. I am jealous but thanks for the tip! Once upon a time I had a brown scrapbooking pen and I used it up! I need to find anotehr white Gel Pen only issue is there is only one brand that works and I forgot which one it is!!!!
