I know this is a scrappy board, but it looks like most of us have another thing in common....wanting to lose some weight before the end of the year. I will come up with a prize for this....haven't quite figured it out yet tho.

Since we all have varying amounts we want to lose it's not fair to have the winner be the one who has lost the most weight, so we'll do it by percentage.

Much like the 100 page challenge we'll post how much we want to lose by the end of this year and then update it at the end of each month with how much we lost.

How much weight do you want to lose -

October -
November -
December -

Total weight lost -
Percentage lost -
(% = Total lost divided by what you want to lose.
Example: want to lose = 40 pounds total weight lost = 10 pounds
10 divided by 40 = .25 or 25%)

I'm in........ I could use some accountability

How much weight do you want to lose - 15 pounds by the end of the year (that 5 a month.... that should be do-able)

How much weight do you want to lose - I'll be realistic like Kristy and say 15 pounds by the end of the year. And then I'll set a new weight loss goal for the next 3 months, and work at this bit by bit.

October - 5 lbs
November - 5 lbs
December - 5 lbs

I would like to lose a total of 15 eventually (if I can). I'm at that weight where you just kind of get stuck and it's really hard to lose. I thought I too would break my bigger goal down into smaller ones in order to stay motivated to try to lose the whole 15. Between plateauing and the holiday's, I definitely don't think I am at any advantage with such a low goal. LOL! If it makes you feel any better, I've already been working on that 5 for about a month now and haven't gotten anywhere.

How much weight do you want to lose - I WANT to lose 40 by the end of the year, but realistically I'll put it at 30. 10 pounds a month isn't impossible...altho with October going the way it is it's doubtful for me. But, I'm going to stick with the 30 over the next 3 months. I'm not eligible for the prize, so for me it's just the accountability

I have already lost two pounds this month! I lost 9 pounds the last week of Sept... But I have an advantage losing pregnancy weight.

I think this is a wonderful idea. Even without a prize it's something i think I need. I just realized the other day that I am at my highest weight ever and it's making me depressed. I need to start smaller too, I'm going to try and lose 15 by January 1st. I need to lose about 100lbs so i have to start small or i'll just get discouraged. Thank you Jessica for posting this

I was all set to do a grand weight loss in June but I got my BFP instead. We are definately ready to lose some weight.

When I started my weight loss in 2007 I started WW right before the holidays it was very nice not to gain a bunch of weight adn still enjoy the holiday foods. I think it will help us all to make good choice and not scarf out on the holiday treats.

I am starting Jillian Micheals on the 1st. I don't think i am making goal but that is OK because I am down, unless of course i keep making and eating this yummy bread I found on Pinterest I am not kidding it took me 20 minutes to make a yeast bread!
