Saturday was so frustrating to me with my cricut. I have the small one, and have used it for years. The last time I scrapped it also gave me a few issues, but turning it off then on "fixed it". I also thought it was due to having an older mat that wasn't that sticky anymore. Well I'm using new mats, and kept having problems Saturday evening.

Problems are - cutting - it will cut the items on top half of mat all the way through, and randomly not cut the bottom half. Kinda score the lines but not actually cutting the paper. Next time, it may cut them all out. Or it doesn't cut all of the item, for example a simple upside down t shape will have the top part cut then a circle (not a rectangle) half way cut for the bottom part.

Does anyone have any thoughts/suggestions for this? I picked up some new blades, as I've not changed the cutting blades out in a long time. I will try that tonight.

You might try messing with your pressure dial (like run it all the way up then all the way down and then back to where you have it set - not actually cutting anything with the different settings). Maybe your dial got bumped? You could also look at your blade depth when you switch out your blades. That's all I can really think of. I'll keep thinking though.

Changing the blades would be my first choice too, but Kelsey's ideas are great. I hope you can get it fixed soon.

Thanks ladies! Kelsey, I tried your suggestions along with changing the blade and it was working great last night. I will try again today and hope still works great.

Ugh, I hate it when my technology frustrates me. My cricut doesn't like cheap paper. My dials must be set for a thicker paper,as I only have issues with the lower end papers.
