I know we are some crafty ladies and I was wonder what you have attempted something you saw on pinterest and did you nail it.

If you ever need a good laugh put pinterest nailed it or something similar in google and you will get a bunch of laughs of things people have tried and failed.

Today I helped Ash do a melted crayon project for her BFF birthday. I have not done mine but I will post pics later.

Most of the stuff I have tried from Pinterest is food. When I move them to my board of recipes I have tried I note what I thought of the recipe.

I am looking at toddler crafts, most are very messy.

I just start e d using sketches from Pinterest much better than page maps.

I've tried a few things and they turned out pretty good. I've tried the easy stuff so far though, so I'm sure I will have some examples of stuff not turning out too. And I've gotten a lot of scrappy inspiration and sketches from them too.

For Mark's bday, I used several things I found there. I can't find the pin, but his bday banner was inspired by it.

Here's the banner.

I found a cute one were you make a leaf rubbing and then make a caterpillar with their toes and ink. So cute. We studied bugs last week. One messy kid,ok but three get out of hand.

Nicole - LOVE that little caterpillar idea!!

I've tried a lot of recipes off Pinterest. Everything seems to turn out like it should, it is just a matter of taste whether we make it again or not. Like Nicole, I write whether we liked the recipe or not when I move it to my recipes I've tried boards. I've made a lot of cards and a few pages using ones off Pinterest and love using it for sketches! The sandbox we have yet to make is one from Pinterest.

Some projects I have tried from Pinterest:

Eye spy game:

Coloring cases for the kids (which I keep in my purse):

Cookie sheet car tray...mine needs a little work - the felt cover I made for it stretched and won't stay on the cookie sheet. :

Travel pillows for the kids:

I've also tried a few cleaning solution recipes and have had great luck with them!

I've got a couple. lol

I got the pattern for these pillowcases from pinterest (with a couple changes)

These luminaries

And these too, but really only the idea not the method. They used paint. I used green tissue paper and mod podge.

Oh, and these celery flowers. It needed less paint.

I love seeing everyone's projects.

I also do some recipe, most need just a little adjustments.

Here is Ashlye's heart she made for her BFF for her Bday. This was taken after she melted the crayon. She boxed up the finished project before I got a pic but she ended up filling in the heart with glitter. Turned out pretty cute.

I might get to try my crayon melt project today

Ashley's crayon melt project turned out super cute Tiffany! Can't wait to see yours!

I've been wanting to make one for Kendra's room that has butterflies. I have all the supplies I need, just need to get it done some time.

Crayon melt project number 2....not completely finished. The wind kicked up and I will be busy the next few days but sometime next week she wants some more color on it and touch up the black. I sketched out a the silhouette and Ash and I both worked on melting the crayons.

by the time I get to my project I think I will have it all figured out. LOL
