Getting prepared for the scrapbook room (and yes I know I am probally still going to be having this conversation a year from now )..but I have been going through lots of threads on other sites about creative storage solutions and I just found this one for pens...

you have to scroll down to like the 4th picture in the post to get a good picture of it.

PVC pen storage?

I know you are suppose to store your pens horizontally rather than vertically. Right now they are in a drawer, but this is a great way to save money and make your own device and see all of your pen colors right in front of you.

So if you find yourself with some time, let's have fun surfin't the net and finding other creative storage solutions. Things that you can make rather than buy. Just be sure to post the link here rather than cutting and pasting anything.

That is great!
Right now my pens/markers are in one of those plastic organizers that you get for like .50 at walmart.
I rinse & reuse jars from pickles or marshmallow creme to store my flowers in.

OH my gosh, that lady is so lucky! And I had no idea we were supposed to store markers and pens horizontally. I've been storing some of them vertically. Jen, that was a good idea you found about the ribbon...I store mine now in a ziploc bag, but I'd not that of the sewing them together. Pretty neat ideas here.

LOL What do you think she would do if we all showed up at her doorstep?

I love seeing what others have done with their areas. Our next house I am definately getting a room to scrapbook!

Okay I got some pictures of my room this afternoon when Luke was sleeping. These are some of my storage ideas. The pictures are a little dark my area is in our basement.

Ribbon holder that my DH made for me. He is working on a shelf also.

This is my main scrap area.
