I still have the instructions for how to make your own rub ons and all of a sudden I just had a brain fart. Here is a question for you all.

The instructions call for transparency paper. Are they talking about overhead projector transparencies or the transparency paper that you find in the scrapbook section of say Michael's???

LOL!
I don't recall the instructions for that but my guess would be the transparency clear/plastic kind. I found them in a 10 pack at walmart.
I don't think Michael's carries them- you may be thinking of vellum?

Have you tried to make these? if so, how did your's turn out?

I tried a few months ago and it didn't work well and I really want to make my own seeing how what I want I can't find.

No, I haven't. Sorry Charlie...
I bought them but have yet to use them! LOL I was actually going to try & print a sketch-like photo on one and try printing some journaling out on them. Then you can use a smear of paint (on the back) to highlight a word, etc. Lots of ideas, just no action yet!

Those are some really good ideas. I have just sprayed the first layer of acrylic on it and waiting for it to dry. I will put 1 more coat just to be safe and then once that dries I will print out the words I want.

Cross your fingers that it works this time

That looks great. I'll have to keep that in mind and try it later.
