I've never been a big crafter. My mom has always been, so I learned the very basics of how to crochet, sew and even scrapbook when I was young. I took a Home Ec class in Jr High where we had to sew a small pillow. I only did these things for a few weeks when I was 13-14 years old and then got bored of them. Now that I'm expecting, I'm thinking of starting up crocheting again to make a blanket or booties or something for baby. How about you ladies? Is anyone super crafty and make a lot of stuff for baby while you're pregnant?

I love my sewing machine though I've been neglecting the poor thing. I want to make some blankets, taggie blankets, and burp cloths.

When I was pregnant with dd I made a couple baby slings.

UMMMM, my DH has this topic pegged. I make hairbows for my daughter and he told me "please promise me that if we have another girl you won't make her wear bows as big as her head" Well, not as big as her head but . . . everyone knows "the bigger the bow, the better the mommy" I joke, I can make 'em small too. DH also loves to tease me because he bought me a super fancy sewing machine years ago and I haven't used it once. I guess now would be a good time to learn. Thanks for the inspiration!

I wish I knew how...I've been watching tutorials for blankets, moby wraps, personalized burp cloths, etc. I'm just not crafty at all.

I can't do any of those, lol. I've tried crocheting, and my hands just don't work. I will be asking my sister to make me a baby blanket, she made me one with all 3 kids.

I would love to learn how to knit or crochet some baby booties for my mom. This will be her first grandbaby and I think she would love them unfortunately, my only two skills are cooking and piano lol I've never understood how to knit or crochet

I knit, crochet and sew. I will knit a special outfit of some sort for the baby announcement pictures. For my first daughter it was a dress and second daughter was a sweater, pant, and hat set.

I will also knit or crochet a blanket, I do this for every baby born into the family, all my nieces, and my nephew have gotten one along with my two girls.

I have learned to sew since the birth of my last daughter, so I will probably go a little crazy with that too.

I hope to get a lot done, but with two kids running around time becomes scarce.

I'll be knitting two blankets, I'll probably make them gender neutral so I can get started now.. I'm a huge knitter. I've always loved knitting and making beautiful things but we live in super warm weather & since I closed up my knitting business, I've not created anything. So I'm very excited to do this!

Sort of. I had a basic sewing class in middle school and my mom and older sister both sew. So I have been surrounded by it for a long time. There are so many good blogs out there too. I find it really isn't that hard, so long as you go slow and pay attention to what you are doing.

I'm not going to make things like that but as soon as I find out the gender, I'm going to get some canvases and do some paintings for the nursery.

I crochet. I made my son all of his blankets. Although, his very first one he has it ripped to shreds and he will not let it go!

This is my niece too! The blanket I crocheted for her is in tatters, but she doesn't want a new one because it isn't HER blanket. I love when my handmade gifts are so appreciated. lol
