Okay so I'm slightly worried. Trying to keep in mind that based off my chart I am only 5w1d today. My Dr is going off LMP which makes me almost 7 weeks according to her. They saw the sac and it was measuring 6w1d but didn't see a baby. I'm still hoping its just 5w and too early to see a baby yet, but confused on it measuring a week ahead. I thought it might be too early to see a heartbeat but thought I would at least see the baby. Anyone else have an early ultrasound and not see a baby but it was still fine?? I'm going in next Friday for another ultrasound which is SO far away!!! DH got a pic of the screen so you can see the sac but nothing else yet. Dr doesn't seem too worried but I am :/

Hopefully the dates are just off and next ultrasound you will see your bean! Next Friday does seem like forever away, but that'll give your LO plenty of time to grow!!
Are they testing your betas? The nurse at my Ob's office told me that a beta under 1500 usually won't show you anything on u/s.

They took my blood today to test that and progesterone I think, they were going to try to run numbers from last week if it's not too late and if not check them again at my ultrasound if I still don't see anything. She didn't seem to be too worried to make sure they were doubling..

I would definitely take that as a good sign then! Hang tight- and demand they test your levels every other day!

Ok, I was Googling 5 week ultrasounds and don't see babies on most so that makes me feel better. Also, I thought the yolk sac was the gestational sac but it's not the yolk sac is just for nutrition for the baby and they saw the yolk sac so I think that's a good sign.

I went in early with my son and they only found a sac, no baby at 5 weeks 4 days. 8 days later, there was a sac and a baby with a heartbeat. My betas only went up 40%, too. So I was freaking out!

*lurking*

At my 5w3d ultrasound, all we saw was a sac. No baby. The next week we saw 2 sacs, 2 babies, and 2 heartbeats Please don't stress...early ultrasounds are very known for being inaccurate...3 different techs can ultrasound the same thing and come up with 3 different dates. I bet when you go back everything is perfect!

Hang in there sweetie, I'm sure next week your little bean will show up. I think this is why a lot of doctors say they don't do early ultrasounds routinely bc of all the worry they cause.

The earliest I've ever seen a baby on an ultrasound is at just about 6 weeks, I think it was 6 weeks and 1 day as of lmp, but I am super regular, 28 day cycles, almost always ovulate on day 14.

I bet your dating is correct and their measuring is just a tad off. At my perinatologists office last pregnancy he told me how in early ultrasounds if you move the curser a tiny amount it can change the measurements by weeks!!

I went at what I thought was 6 weeks and they saw same thing, sac no baby no hb. two weeks later bam baby and heart beat, remember lmp is not always accurate and could be as much as three weeks off.
(Hugs)
I am sure next time you will see your sweet little sticky bean and hear a great strong hb

Even when I went in at 6w4d my RE who is very skilled said all he is really looking for is a healthy sac & "POSSIBLY" a baby or babies. I got lucky, could have easily gone either way. So don't stress at all!! Baby is so tiny & tucked inside you right now! My next ultrasound is a week from Friday too! We can both be impatient together! LOL

My next one is a week from Thursday. I'm in the same boat; no fetus spotted yet (at 6 wk us). Hopefully we'll both see something more at our next appointments!
