Just lurkiing, which I never do (at least I never comment anyway, lol). My friend Grace from the April DDC, also measured at 5.5wks and her baby girls h/b was 96 as well. She is now over 22wks pregnant with a healthy little girl. Its in her siggy if you want to check her out in the April DDC. (Grace). I have also been told to worry with lower h/b's from my RE with my 2yr old. Her h/b at 6.4wks was 119. They told me it was border line and to prepare for the worst. But I was actually only 6.1wks and measured bigger.....she turned out just perfect. There is no way to predict the outcome at this early of gestation with lower h/b's. You just have to wait until after the 6th wk to get a nice fast h/b....Praying your next u/s brings your Christmas miracle and you celebrate Christmas this year like no other!!

Ditto everyone else, I don't know WHY he would panic you over stuff that is basically normal! Not very nice of him LOL! Measurements jump around like CRAZY this early on, and the heart when it first starts beating (which it starts around week 6), starts at a very low bpm and then increases. I bet you get great news when you go back!!! *hugs*

i'm so sorry to hear that. i'll keep you and your baby in my thoughts and prayers. on one hand it may be a good thing that you are going christmas eve. sometimes not knowing is worse. i remember they told me they saw a heart murmer with my daughter and i just lost it. she had to go after she was born so they could get a better look and they told me then that her heart was perfect and there would be no need to come back. they will probably tell you everything is fine, and then you can enjoy christmas with your baby. lots of hugs!!

Thanks so much ladies, I really appreciate your concern. I do want to let you know though that we are 100% certain of my ovulation date so it really IS measuring behind - my chart last cycle was picture perfect, no questions asked on which day I O'd. But I do understand that measurements can be off slightly. I'm okay, as long as this is a trooper and s/he catches up before I go back in.

I'm feeling a little better, just pretty much preparing for the worst. I mean why would americanpregnancy.org say that at 6-7 weeks, 90-110 is okay if it wasn't? That's got to be a credible source, right?

I also think the doctor went a bit too far by pretty much insisting that I'm going to be bleeding before I see him again. I woke up this morning and instantly lost it because my boobs weren't very sore... but as the day went on they got more sore so I don't know. It's brought back at least a little bit of hope.

This is so scary. I just hope and pray (I don't really pray, so I almost feel guilty doing so just because I need help here...) that at my next u/s that things have caught up, or ended completely. That sounds disgusting but I'd rather it be over than it be the same rate and me knowing it's inevitable, just not sure when it's going to happen, if that makes any sense at all... I don't want my body holding on to something that's not really there.

I do, however, intend on cussing the doctor out if I go back and everything is good. At least just to get it through his head that what he said was ridiculously insensitive, even if he doesn't realize it or didn't have that intent.

One day at a time... and today, I'm not yet bleeding.

Thanks so much for the T&Ps ladies, it means more than you know.

I had the same EXACT thing happen this morning at 5w5d we saw a HB and it was 96 BPM and the dr has me so worried that I will miscarry, but from everything I have found online that is normal this early
