I know that I O'd November 21st or 22nd and the 21st is also pretty much the only day we BD'd for 2 weeks before that, so I'm 99% sure that is when the baby was conceived. Since my last period was October 17th, the doctor's office seems hell-bent on calling me 8 weeks pregnant right now, making me 10 weeks on Christmas, even though I explained the situation to them before. There's some sort of policy about them having to do an ultrasound between 10-12 weeks there, but I will be on vacation to visit family those exact weeks, so I might get an ultrasound December 26th! Omg yay! I talked with them today about scheduling my appointment after I get back, but they are going to try to squeeze me in around the 26th, but I won't know until I call back on Monday. I'm so excited, but nervous! I'll really be about exactly 7 weeks, give or take a day or two if I'm right, so that should be far enough along to see a heartbeat and not have to worry about not seeing baby. What do you ladies think? I'm just praying that everything is ok until then, but also so happy and excited because I'll have an ultrasound pic to bring to family (I won't see them until the 27th or 28th)!
Very cool. Do all of your doctors do them standard round 8-10 weeks? My first doctor did, then the doc that I had at the beginning of my second pregnancy didn't..but I got one because I expressed concern due to an earlier loss. Now I have another new doc this time and I have an appt the 26th and the nurse said it is "pregnancy confirmation" appt....at 8 weeks..so I am hoping that means I get an u/s. I'll be asking for one if not though.
I think it is soo exciting getting an early ultrasound! Lucky for me my OB does them between 7-9 weeks and I was able to get an apt when I am about 7 weeks so I should see a heartbeat then! With my daughter I didn't even find out I was pregnant until I was 10 weeks and had an ultrasound at 11 weeks so I got a great picture of my baby. With my son I was 7 weeks and I saw a heartbeat and there was even the yolk sac visible.
