I have had them early with all three...I'm not sure if it is because I am high risk or not, this is actually the latest I have had a first scan! Others were at 4-5 weeks to check on sac. I know everyone is different but for me the early scans alleviate a lot of worry nd stress, even if I go at 4 or 5 weeks and see just a sac or whatever, it reassures me that at least I am on track for that week? I do see how it could be stressful for some but for me, I'm glad my dr does those early scans!
We didn't hear a heartbeat at just over 5 weeks at my confirmation appointment. My doc did another US at my checkup last week at 6 weeks 2 days and we got a heartbeat. She did tell me that sometimes you don't that early.
