Lurking here. I've also thought about being a GS. Is there an age cut off and do you know if having a few miscarriages would affect your ability to be a surrogate?
For most *agencies* it's usually 35 years old. And I don't think miscarriage would cause you to not be a candidate unless it was due to some blood disorder or clotting disorders, etc. Things that would make carrying a pregnancy hard.

The placenta filters all the nutrients that flow to the baby, so its still possible to say pass liquor, drugs, etc to the baby because it can pass through the placenta, but your blood doesn't directly flow to the baby. Placenta's are so amazing.

haha I know! I really thought I was done after 2..but dh wanted to try again so we did. I ended up having a m/c and thought okay, I'm really done. But dh convinced me again and we had Preston. Number 4 is a total SHOCK!! lol
