So... I'm still spotting. I'm debating on whether to try and see my OB today or not. I'm sort of dragging my heels because I have an appt in a week. Today I noticed it's turning brownish. That's a good sign, right? It's still not anything more than when I wipe.

Yes brown blood is definitely better than bright red (that's what I've always been told). Maybe just call your ob office and see if they are fine with waiting until next week or of they want you in sooner.

When in doubt, see the doctor lol That's my motto! I would at least call them to see what they say

I would put a call in and see what they think. It probably depends on the dr but mine always wants to see me if I had any bleeding or spotting. Brown blood is much better than red though!!

How long have you been spotting? Last pregnancy I spotted at 8 weeks. It was pinkish and then brownish. I freaked out and called, but they said not to come in unless it was red.

Brown sounds good. When I had my m/c, and I'm sure everyone is different, I had bleeding and cramping and then labor type pains and it got worse until it was over. It was just like labor. Sounds like things are headed in a much better direction for you!

7-8 weeks is the most common time to spot. Something about the placenta and the mucus plug and the cervix softening between 6-8 weeks.
If its going brown it's on it's way to ending I think.
I'd wait because dr would want to do a cervical exam and that will irritate your cervix more.

brown is better than red! I'd go in if you can so you can get peace of mind.

I started spotting last Thursday. Very light pink at first, then a little darker, and it came and went, only when I wiped. It's been more brownish lately. I called my dr and she sent me for an u/s, though she didn't seem very concerned. Saw the baby's heartbeat today, but I don't know what's causing the spotting. I would call and let your dr decide what to do. But generally I think as long as it's not bright red, and you're not cramping, that everything is probably ok.

thanks guys. I did call the OB and they said just to wait until my appt next week unless it gets worse.

Sorry I keep harping on this, it's just so annoying that it seems to persist.

Any doubt, call! If anything were to happen you'll be kicking yourself wishing that you would have called if you don't. Just do it to put your mind at ease

Have they checked your progesterone level?

I had some brown spotting and all has been fine. Brown blood is old blood could be from the placenta inplanting. At least you are being seen next week so not far away.

progesterone is the first thing I'm going to ask my doctor about. I tried to move my appt up to Monday but she's booked so it looks like I'll have to wait until Thurs.
