My issue lies here: I got a darn 2MHz probe instead of 3MHz!
I read online that this is better for heavier mamas and women who are further along in their pregnancy. Well, I tried it anyway. Started getting what I THOUGHT was baby, but definitely not because it's on both sides of me and is a little slower than what I was expecting.
THEN I found very low and in the middle what I THINK might be baby, but it's not strong enough to pick up a reading, and it's pretty faint sounding.
I will attach videos in a second once they upload - experienced doppler users, can you tell me what the noise in the first video is? And on the second one, if you can even hear it over the computer (again, very faint!) do you think that's baby or just one of the other mysterious noises out there? You'll have to wait a few seconds into it to be able to hear the noise I'm talking about.

Lurking, Im 10yr user of dopplers with 4 baby's! The first one is your "blood flow" and the second one is the definitely the baby's h/b! Congrats, a beautiful sound!
Thank you Shortcake for my beautiful siggy..]
Momma of 8 beautiful children now. Most recent is Jerry Jr. born 11/19/12 at 37wk, 7lbs 6oz and 19.5inches and Baby Reymundo born 10/7/13 at 35w6d, 6lbs 7oz, 19.5 inches. Momma of 5 angels. New siggy to come!
Yeah I'm not sure! I also thought the first one was too quick to be MY heart rate, though maybe I was just super nervous
I can't figure out why it wouldn't read baby's HB, either - I didn't show the reading on the doppler because it would say 125 then go to 135 then to like 110 and the whole time it would be alternating with "- - -" so I'm not sure. It just added to the confusion when I heard a steady quicker sound then saw the reading. The little heart icon wasn't even on it... but I know I heard that (heck, I even got it recorded!) so I'm not crazy
Thanks for the replies, I hope someday soon I can get an actual reading. I counted 26 beats in 10 seconds so I guess that means baby's HR was 156?
Next time you find it.....put the probe on an angle or do a circle around the area where you hear it. It should get louder. Once you find it keep it steady for a good 2 minutes so it could figure out the BPM. It takes a while for the doppler to register it then the number will take time to climb. Good Luck

Hoping & praying for our rainbow baby after 2 back to back 2nd trimester losses
The baby is really moving around at this point. Since baby is so small right now he/she can easly hide. Sometimes I find my baby to the right but he/she likes to mainly hang out on the left. So if you can't get a steady reading baby is possiably moving around or in an werid position. Hope you can get a more constant reading soon! Congrats on finding him/her!!!!!!!!!
I definitely heard baby on the second video...I am longing to hear that sound. I am actually not going to use my doppler anymore until after 10 weeks I think. I am sick of hearing my own heartbeat and blood flow lol and it makes me anxious rooting around with the probe for baby to no avail...
